Day 1: Cusco - Km 104 - Wiñaywayna - Aguas Calientes

Winay Wayna - Begin your journey with a 4:00 am pickup from your Cusco hotel, heading to the Ollantaytambo train station. Here, you’ll board a train to Km 104, the starting point of the 2-day Short Inca Trail. The train ride offers breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley’s stunning landscapes.

Upon arrival at Km 104, you’ll check in before embarking on your hiking adventure.

As you hike, you’ll encounter diverse plant and animal life. Your first stop will be Chachabamba, a charming archaeological site near the Urubamba River.

Day 2: Explore Machu Picchu (Lost City of the Incas) — Return to Cusco

Machu Picchu - After an early breakfast at your Aguas Calientes hotel, take a short bus ride to Machu Picchu, known as the “Lost City of the Incas.” Arrive before sunrise to witness the magical view of the sun rising over the majestic ruins.

Your guide will provide a comprehensive tour of the archaeological site, highlighting the rich history of its impressive structures. The tour typically includes the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, and the Temple of the Three Windows.
