Upon arrival at the office, guests will be weighed and given a safety briefing. The adventure begins with a helicopter ride over snow-capped peaks, braided rivers, and glacier valleys. Fly over the impressive Knik Glacier, one of Southcentral Alaska’s largest glaciers, stretching 26 miles long and 6 miles wide at its base.

Once the pilot selects an ideal glacial pool suited to your comfort and adventure level, the glacier paddling adventure begins! Adventure guides will provide all necessary equipment and offer instruction on water safety and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), allowing ample time to explore the stunning pools atop the glacier.

Beyond paddling, there is also the chance to explore the deep crevasses, towering ice walls, and breathtaking blue ice formations on foot. This is where the true allure of Knik Glacier, one of Alaska’s most captivating sights, becomes evident.

• CHECK IN TIME is 30 minutes prior to departure time. If you arrive late your excursion may be shortened, cancelled or rescheduled.
• Weight limit is 300 pounds per seat. R44 max weight is 650 pounds. R66 max weight is 900 pounds.
• Paddleboard max weight is 250 pounds. Guests over 250 pounds can request a packraft.
• Service animals are allowed on a case by case basis. Call to inquire.
• This adventure is for ages 10+
• Accuratly reporting weight is essential for proper weight and balance of the helicopter. Large discrepancies in reported weights may result in additional fees.
• Solo Travelers: Please note that we may reach out to reschedule your time if a 2 person minimum is not met.
• Guests must be proficient swimmers and physically fit.
