Zoo trip - Super fun. Zoo is organized in a way so you don't miss viewing any animals. Animotronic dinosaurs were there too. Which made our visit more special.

Go in the morning, not so good in the afternoon. - Small zoo that’s a quick walk-around. The zoo closed at 5pm on the afternoon we visited. A lot of the animals were pacing near their gates waiting to get locked in for the night when we were there from 3pm-5pm, so go earlier in the day if you can.

Time for an overhaul - I was really disappointed with the Sacramento Zoo. Many of the enclosures felt small and outdated, and several animals seemed stressed or bored. The signage was sparse, making it hard to learn anything meaningful about the animals, and a lot of the paths and exhibits felt run-down. Staff were polite but didn’t offer much information or engagement. For the price of admission, I expected a much more educational and enjoyable experience. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it unless they seriously improve the facilities and overall visitor experience
