• Brevard County - Upon arrival, everything will be prepared for your adventure! The launch site offers unobstructed views of the Space Center’s vehicle assembly building, rocket launch pads, and the Milky Way. On clear nights, shooting stars, Starlink satellites, and even the ISS can often be seen overhead. In the water, bioluminescence is created by microscopic algae beneath you. Paddle alongside a certified Florida naturalist who is passionate about the ecosystem and learn about the lagoon’s ecology, from the microscopic base of the food web to the top. On some summer nights, there is an opportunity to engage in water sampling to measure the dinoflagellates, as Sunny Nights Kayak Tours contributes to a scientist’s ongoing research on the pyrodinium bloom in the lagoon!
