Along the way, the guide will point out local plants and wildlife! Look for Beargrass in June, Thimbleberries in July, and Huckleberries in August. The canyon is also home to many animals, including Moose, Elk, Mountain Goats, Black Bears, Pika, and Deer, so be sure to bring binoculars!
The hike covers less than 2 miles round trip with under 300 feet of elevation gain. Though it is a mild hike, the group will venture off trail for a few hundred feet to reach the scenic overlook destination.
The guide carries all essential tea and hiking gear, a GPS communicator, and safety equipment, and is a certified wilderness first responder and Leave No Trace certified!
A backpacking stove is carried by the guide to prepare hot water for the tea.
