Our evening at the museum! - My wife and I have been Houston Museum of Fine Arts members for two years. Membership, has been one of our best decisions. Having access to high-quality interesting museum-offerings is important to us. Last month we attended the complimentary Friday night happy hour + Jazz concert + access to the Tamara Lempicka exhibit. Ours, was a wonderful evening in the most perfect setting. Every aspect of our evening at the museum was enjoyable. The jazz concert and museum exhibition, were stellar. Afterwards, learning how much my wife had enjoyed our evening together, has inspired me to soon plan another museum event.

World Class - I cannot build much on the stellar reviews that this world class Museum offers. But I will say that you need to allocate a full day to visit all three buildings and take in the special exhibits. Plus we ran into the most helpful and involved group of guards protecting the collection.

Amazing museum - Off the charts amazing museum. Showed up on free day unexpectedly. But it would have been worth the ticket price for sure. Enormous museum with a huge variety of art. Friendliest staff you'll find it any museum. Tunnels connecting three different museum buildings are also part of the museum.

Lovely visit! Easy to maneuver and very welcoming. - We spent a night outside of Houston before a graduation ceremony in College Station and really enjoyed our recent trip to the Museum! Parking in the garage was easy and it linked to the museum complex through indoor passages. The museum was a nice size, and we happened to be there on Thursday, when it was open late and was free —which was much appreciated after the fairly high entrance fee at the Johnson Space Center. It was nice to see many young people there enjoying the museums, too. The employees were all very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit here! We also visited the contemporary art building. I like to visit museums whenever I travel and this was really nice.

Great museum - The museum is located downtown Houston in the Museum District. Good parking options are available within a short walking distance. We visited on a Thursday, where admission to the collections is free. The museum is situated in several buildings and the collections are substantial, so it is possible to spend several hours here. We enjoyed our visit very much and would definitely recommend a visit here.

This place is massive - I go to art museums in pretty much any city/country i visit and I can say this place is absolutely massive. Unless you are there for a specific exhibit or collection, you definitely need to dedicate a half day at least.
