• Trinity Episcopal Church - Established in 1746 as Augusta Parish, Trinity is the oldest church in Staunton and among the earliest Episcopal congregations west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The initial building was completed in 1763. The current church, the third on this site, was designed by English architect James Wood Johns and constructed between 1852 and 1855 in the Early Gothic Revival style. The stunning interior showcases numerous stained glass windows, including twelve crafted by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
• Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind - As the first institution for the deaf and the blind and one of Virginia’s oldest schools, the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind (VSDB) was founded in Staunton by an act of the Virginia General Assembly on March 31, 1838, and officially opened in 1839.
• East Beverley Street - Downtown Staunton boasts many of Virginia’s finest examples of Victorian architecture. Some of the most remarkable can be found in the Beverley Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Most buildings in this area date from the 1870s to the 1920s.
