Hailing from the magnificent Northwest, Captain Grant has been passionate about sailing since the age of 12. He enjoys sharing this passion with guests, encouraging them to take the helm while he captures memorable photos of them steering the boat.
Grant holds a U.S. Coast Guard license as a 100-ton Master of Inland Waters. His sailing adventures include…
Hailing from the magnificent Northwest, Captain Grant has been passionate about sailing since the age of 12. He enjoys sharing this passion with guests, encouraging them to take the helm while he captures memorable photos of them steering the boat.
Grant holds a U.S. Coast Guard license as a 100-ton Master of Inland Waters. His sailing adventures include racing to Hawaii and navigating a sailboat from Seattle to San Diego. Additionally, he has experience as a charter captain in Greece.
Previously, Grant worked as a reporter for The Seattle Times and as a Science & Medical writer for the Associated Press. His book, “The Tomorrow Makers,” which explores AI, robotics, and the future of humanity, was recognized by the American Library Association as one of the top 10 books of the year. He is a gifted storyteller who enjoys engaging with his guests.
