- Glaciar Ojo del Albino - One of the most demanding crossings in Ushuaia is a 21 km trek through forests, glacier valleys, and icy lagoons, culminating at the majestic Ojo del Albino Glacier, nestled in the Andes Mountains.
The adventure kicks off with a transfer from the accommodation to the starting point, followed by a technical equipment check and a brief safety talk before embarking on the hike. The journey leads through the Fueguin forest along nature trails until reaching the Emerald Lagoon. The group pauses at a mountain refuge to recharge before continuing.
The most challenging part of the route begins here: the technical ascent to the glacier. Participants, equipped with crampons and walking sticks, navigate steep slopes amidst breathtaking scenery. Upon reaching the Ojo del Albino Glacier, the group takes a well-earned break and enjoys lunch in front of the stunning glacier amphitheater, a truly unique natural setting.
The return journey follows the same path, with guides ensuring the group’s safety and pace. The activity concludes with a transfer back to Ushuaia.
