Good value - This excursion was just as advertised. There were 14 of us in a mini coach that made several stops at scenic places.

Beautiful National Park with ever changing conditions. - Great small group experience with plenty of time at scheduled stops. Marisol had hands-on information to share during the ride.

End of the world experience - We lucked out with good weather which is rare. Enjoyed the tour immensely. Saw the rare woodpeckers and a great many wild horses. Scenery was stunning.

We have enjoyed this... - We have enjoyed this excursion. The rain and wind made the experience more challenging. Perfect balance from narration and free time for photos and shopping for souvenirs.

Good value….exactly as advertised. - Exactly as advertised. A 4 hour excursion to take in the National Park and a few of its highlights. Very good communication a day before the excursion and clear directions regarding pickup location. Met at 8:00 and we’re on the road by 8:10. Sharing of some history and biology of the Park in route. A no nonsense trip for a very nice price. Good value.

Don't book ahead. If pre-book, double-check the details. - The guide language was not English as stated in the description. 12 out of 14 guests understand Spanish and some don't understand English. As a result, the guide used Spanish 75% of the time. It was hard for us to enjoy since we had to concentrate to pick out the spoken English to know what's going on. (When i msg the tour operator after, they brush off saying that they always do bilingual - false advertising) Our original start time was 8am but they were moved to 10am without explanation. It broke our day in the middle so we can't join other tours. This was our 3rd visit to ushuaia. My recommendation is don't book ahead. Just walk off the pier at your convenience and pick the tour you want.

Not good! Late, disorganised and a lack of communication - We booked this tour at it was scheduled to depart at 8am however, we were off the ship and waiting at the pick up point 10-15 mins early but there was no sign of the tour guide or minibus. Our tour operator was listed as Pinguinos Expediciones and unlike many other companies, they hadn’t made contact with us before hand. After standing and waiting we received a message from the company at 8.10am telling us that the tour had now been postponed to 11am. As this was listed as a 4-5 hour tour, we questioned how they would get us back to the ship before our all aboard time of 3pm. The company assured us that we would be back in time and that there were also several other people from our ship on the tour. Over the next hour the meeting time changed from 10.45am to 10.30am and then 10.20am. We were then also told that the tour company would now be Best Tour Patagonia and not Pinguinos Expediciones!! The tour eventually departed at 10.30am on a minibus with around 12-15 people. The guide was very good and spoke good English however the whole tour seemed pretty disorganised, some people had pre paid for the national park entrance and some hadn’t. We also discovered that we were the only people who weren’t doing the train ride. We started off driving to the furthest point on the route, Bahia Lapataia, where we had 15-20mins to look around. After that we had to go directly to the train station due to the other passengers having timed train tickets for the 12.30pm “End of the World” train. This meant that we didn’t have time to visit Lake Roca. We were given the option of staying on the bus whilst the others did the train journey however this would have meant hanging around for over an hour with nothing much to see or do so we opted to join the others on the train. To be honest, this really isn’t worth the money, the train is a typical tourist attraction but it moves at walking pace and is vastly over rated in my view. As the train was 15 minutes leaving, we had to jump straight onto the minibus as soon as it arrived in the main station which didn’t allow any time for looking around. With the time now around 2pm, we drove the short distance to Zaratiegue Cove where we were told to be back on the bus for 2.30pm. The drive back to the ship took 30mins which meant that we had no room for error. The bus dropped us off at the parking area outside the dock gates which meant that everyone had to rush to make the 5-6 minutes walk along the pier to the ship. Fortunately the ship’s crew weren’t too strict on timings as we didn’t get aboard until 3.02pm. All in all, we were extremely disappointed with this tour. The only reason I haven’t rated it as one star is because of the tour guide, she was very nice, very helpful and knowledgeable. We purposely booked a tour that left early so that we would have time to spare at the end and wouldn’t have to rush to the ship. There was a distinct lack of communication from Pinguinos Expediciones and I feel that they just bumped us off their tour and handed us to another tour operator. The whole experience ended up being very rushed, we didn’t see everything that we should have seen and essentially the tour consisted of two stops to scenic viewpoints (Bahia Lapataia and Zaratiegue Cove) plus a drop off and pick up at the train stations, that was it! I wouldn’t recommend this tour and would suggest that people seek a more organised and reputable company.
