Hingula - Upon arrival, the Chauffeur/Guide will warmly welcome you at Bandaranaike International Airport. Once you reach Mawanalla Saradiyel village, check into your Homestay and enjoy a couple of hours of rest. You will then have the opportunity to participate in a unique cooking demonstration session led by traditional village mothers, which includes your lunch.
After lunch, embark on a trek up Uthuwankande Mountain, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and reflect on the life of Sura Saradiyel.

Uthuwankanda - Uthuwankanda is a village located in the Kegalle district, known for its rock that served as the hideout of a local bandit named Saradiel. The mini hike to Uthuwankanda offers visitors an authentic village walk, famously known as Robin Hood’s village in Sri Lanka. This village experience includes four parts: Saradiel rock, Saradiel cave, Saradiel theme park, and Bo Ella, with the hike to Saradiel rock being the main adventure activity of the tour. Saradiel, born during the British rule in Sri Lanka, is celebrated as the Sri Lankan Robin Hood, who stole from the rich and generously gave to the poor.

Pilimathalawa - Breakfast will be served at the Captain Lodge Homestay. Today, embark on a full-day cycling tour in Pilimathalawa, visiting three temples. Depart from the hotel around 0800hrs, with the guide arranging everything for your tour. While cycling, you will see pristine spice plants and the nearby three temple complexes.
The three temples (Gadaladeniya, Lankathilake, Embekka) were built in the 14th century before the Kandyan Kingdom was fully established. These temples are located within easy walking distance, offering another unforgettable experience for heritage enthusiasts.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - The Temple of the Tooth is the most significant site for present-day Buddhists as it is the final resting place of the sacred tooth relic of Buddha, known as “Sri Dalada Maligawa.” It is renowned for its carvings and the exquisite art unique to Sri Lanka. The most important part of the Dalada Maligawa is the octagon (Pathirppuwa). Thousands of people line up each day to witness its grandeur.

Peradeniya - Located in Kandy’s suburb of Peradeniya, the stunning Peradeniya Botanical Garden dates back to 1371. Once a pleasure garden for a Kandyan queen, this magnificent garden is surrounded on three sides by a large bend in the Mahaweli River. It served as a Kandyan prince’s residence during the 18th Century and became one of the greatest Botanical Gardens in the British Empire in the early 1800s. During the Second World War, it briefly served as the Allied Forces Headquarters for the Asian region.
