• Cenotes Hacienda Mucuyche - Cenotes are natural rock formations created by the erosion of limestone over millennia, resulting in groundwater pools. For the Mayans, they symbolize life and a connection to the spiritual and underworld. This tour visits a cenote that retains its natural state, untouched by modern life.

It is recommended to avoid using sunscreen, body cream, or repellent to preserve the water quality in this oasis.

Our guide will provide natural and biodegradable insect repellent upon request during the tour.

1:00 p.m. | Arrival at Hacienda Cenote Mucuyche with access instructions, followed by a historical tour of a 17th-century hacienda (25 minutes)

• Cenote Azul - After showering, participants will take a mandatory life jacket to enter the first cenote, CARLOTA, named after Empress Carlota & Emperor Maximilian of Austria, who visited Yucatan around 150 years ago. Historians note that the emperors enjoyed a restful stay at Mucuyche Hacienda, with the Empress swimming in this cenote, which now bears her name.

2:00 p.m. | 30-minute swim in the first cenote
2:30 p.m. | Swim with the guide to an artificial river leading to the second cenote.
3:00 p.m. | Artificial river tour concludes, followed by a dive into a cenote with a unique light phenomenon, where the water’s deep blue hue will amaze participants.
3:30 p.m. | Exit the cenote.

• Restaurante Cenotes Hacienda Mucuyché - After visiting the second cenote, the tour concludes with free time at the hacienda’s restaurant area. Food and beverages are not included and are available à la carte. Enjoy the pool area with 1.5 hours of leisure before returning to Mérida.
