Salar de Uyuni Tour from San Pedro de Atacama
Uyuni - The adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation at 7:00 a.m. (time may vary based on the hotel). Once everyone is gathered, the group will depart from San Pedro de Atacama in a minibus, heading towards the Chile-Bolivia border. After completing the border formalities, the group will switch to a 4×4 vehicle accommodating 6 people.
On the first day, the tour will explore the Bolivian highlands, visiting sites like Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, situated at the base of the Licancabur volcano. The journey continues to the Salvador Dalí desert and the Polques hot springs, where there will be time for a relaxing dip. The tour will also include a visit to the Sol de Mañana geysers, where water erupts at 90°C.
The day concludes with a visit to Laguna Colorada, a nesting ground for over 30,000 flamingos.
The first night will be spent at a hostel in Villamar.
Valley of Rocks – Laguna Vinto – Anaconda Canyon
Uyuni - On the second day, the tour will explore the Valley of Rocks, the World Cup, and Lost Italy, where volcanic rock formations resemble an abandoned city.
The tour will then proceed to El Camello, where local wildlife can be observed. Next, the group will visit Laguna Misteriosa or Catal, offering a chance to walk and admire the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano, followed by Laguna Vinto, Mirador, and Cañon de la Anaconda. The day will end with a transfer to the salt hotel in Colcha K for the second night’s stay.
Salar de Uyuni – Incahuasi Island – Colchani
Salar de Uyuni - The day begins with watching the sunrise over the vast salt flats, followed by a visit to Incahuasi Island. Here, a short walk through the limestone formation, featuring giant cacti, provides stunning views of the salt flats.
The tour will then visit the Salt Museum and exit the salt flats through the village of Colchani, where there will be an opportunity to purchase local handicrafts.
The journey continues with a stop at the train cemetery for photos before arriving in Uyuni. In Uyuni, the group will bid farewell to the driver-guide who has been with them for the past three days, and enjoy some free time for lunch and city exploration. Later, the group will meet the driver for the return trip, with a stop in Villamar for dinner and rest.
Villamar – San Pedro de Atacama
San Pedro de Atacama - An early start will mark the return journey to the Chile-Bolivia border. After completing the necessary border formalities, the group will switch to a minibus for the final leg back to San Pedro de Atacama.
