SALAR DE UYUNI & MIRROR EFFECT

Uyuni - Begin the journey in Uyuni, where the operator will meet at the designated pick-up location (bus/train station, airport, or hotel). Embark on a 4x4 adventure to explore the train cemetery, then proceed to Colchani (a 30-minute drive) to discover salt mining and browse the local market.

Enter the Salar de Uyuni, with the route adjusted according to seasonal conditions. From January to April, Playa Blanca (approximately 10 km in) may be accessible, while February to March often necessitates exploring the edges to witness the mirror effect.

Rain boots will be provided for walking on the flooded salt flats to enjoy the reflections, weather permitting. Conclude the day with a breathtaking sunset before returning to Uyuni (Basic & Standard) or nearby Colchani (Plus) for dinner and relaxation.

BARREN DESERTS, COLORED LAGOONS & ANDEAN WILDLIFE

Salar de Uyuni - Departing from Uyuni and the salt flats, the journey heads south towards the captivating Laguna Colorada. Along the way, visit and stroll along Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, and Honda lagoons to capture close-up photographs of wild flamingos and traverse the Siloli Desert, featuring vast, barren landscapes with Arbol de Piedra (stone tree) and other geological formations.

It will be a long day with extensive travel, but there will be numerous scenic stops, surreal landscapes, and Andean wildlife throughout. Arrive at the accommodation near Laguna Colorada* in the evening for a warm dinner and a much-needed rest. For the Plus package, Arbol de Piedra and Laguna Colorada are visited the following day due to the location of Tayka de Piedra Hotel.

STEAMING GEYSERS, NATURAL HOT SPRINGS & LAGUNA VERDE

Laguna Colorada - This unforgettable expedition concludes today with an early start, leading to Sol de Mañana (Rising Sun) - a remarkable, steaming geyser field situated high in a massive crater. Follow this with a relaxing soak in the natural hot springs of Polques before reaching the surreal Laguna Verde (green lagoon) at the base of Volcán Licancabur** - Bolivia’s southwesternmost point.

Leaving Laguna Verde, embark on a scenic drive back to Uyuni, with a few stops along the way to enjoy fresh air and more stunning views of the region. Arrive in the town of Uyuni by late afternoon, marking the end of the tour.

Optional: At Laguna Verde, there is an option to be dropped off at the border post 20 minutes away to board a pre-arranged bus transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. Please select this option at the time of booking if desired.
