100% would recommend! - Amazing tour, 10/10 would recommend this. They also make pitstops at the mayan villages which was super interesting. Special shout out to Joiana serving the drinks!

Good value for money - Given the price of admission to Chichen Itza, this excursion is very profitable! The excursion is supposed to be in English but neither the driver nor the guide on site spoke English, so I spent the day working on my Spanish, which is no worse but if you don’t speak it at all, it’s not nice! The visit to Chichen Itza was nice but I would have preferred the guide to stay longer with us because the site is very large and we do not have much time to discover it without knowing it during our free time.

Chichen itza made it worth it - The communication about departure is not great, you really have to call them to confirm pick up point and time. I got picked up from the church at 9:20 instead of 9am at the hotel. Went to a first cenote with the driver and could only stay there 30min (I guess because we left late) after that, I've joined a bigger group that had a different package and could get drinks that I wasn't allowed to. We stopped atmaya village, which is a tourist trap with over priced item blessed by a shaman. Then, went to another cenote and buffet for 1:30hrs. We finished at the temple at the heat pick of the day. The visit itself was great, it was way too hot to focus on the guide but it's worth the visit because of it's history and well preserved structure. I would chose another tour for chichen itza and the cenote if possible. I would avoid buffet in general in Mexico for the hygiene and avoiding being sick

Go somewhere else or go at a time when there are fewer tourists. - Don't go on this tour unless you want to be stuck in an overcrowded van to sites that are overcrowded with too many tourists. The first cenote experience felt like an overused amusement site where tourists are herded from van to life vest stand to crowded cenote. The so called "mayan village" is even more of a joke, you are dropped off at a van parking lot, greeted with a quick Mayan blessing and then let loose into a trinket shop filled with over-priced items - hardly a Mayan village experience. At this point, we bailed on the remainder of the tour and were lucky to get a ride back into town. We will not be back. There are many other places to enjoy that are more authentic than this offering.

Don’t go unless you like being herded around from overcrowded to overcrowded places. - Just say, no! Start with waiting 20 minutes on a busy street for your van. The first stop was 40 minutes in an overcrowded cenote. By the time you get your life jacket and walk to the cenote, you have about 20 minutes to swim. Next stop was a so called “Mayan village”. It was a stop at a very overpriced store (don’t buy these products). At this point we bailed. The driver had already advised that Chichen Itza had long lines just to purchase entrance tickets. Forget it. A major disappointment. We’ll come back at a less hectic time and take a private tour.

Unorganised Chaos - Unorganised chaos. 3 cenotes (only took us to 1)/ mayan village / buffet / chichen itza Joined a bigger group at the mayan gift store. They only took us to 1 cenote which had the buffet basically a water park. Lifejackets and lockers are additional charge at 100mxn each. Buffet was horrible, worst tacos we had in mexico. Cenote was nice but only one hour. Mayan village is the tour operators gift store. Overpriced and unnecessary, basically built to milk tourists of their money selling souvenirs at 5x the price they will find at the next stop. Chichen itza was good because of the english speaking guide. This is why it doesnt get 1/5. Souvenir sellers throughout the site you can bargain with. After that they took us to Valladolid where the tour ended. The first cenote was supposedly closed so they gave us free drinks which we didnt really care for. They didnt take us to the final cenote that was listed. Worth only if you have a discount code and dont mind bad food. Go with low expectations.
