Excellent museum and church - And excellent visit to the Dominican Friars museum and church. The video introduction was very informative and the museum was very well presented. The church was beautiful and it was a privilege to see the silver in the treasury. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She showed us some videos on her phone of the religious celebrations held every year.

Excellent from start to finish. - I really enjoyed my visit to the Valletta black friars experience. The first room of the museum is an introductory video. I highly recommend seeing this video as it gives you a very good start to your visit. It narrates the basilica' s history all throughout the centuries. It also explains interesting facts about the valuable artefacts one can see in the museum. The church itself is simply breathtaking, beauty at every turn. I enjoyed learning about this great hidden gem in Valletta. I also fell in love with Giuseppe Cali's works of art.

Why isn't everyone here?! - We noticed the church had some frescoed ceilings when we passed, so went back later to see if we could go in and were well rewarded! The visitor centre and the oratories were stunning but the church itself was beyond description. If you're religious, or like art, history or architecture then this is a hidden gem. For me, this is second only to St Peter's. I'm still processing what I saw, but I heartily recommend you go and see for yourself.

Opulence Defined. - We visited on a joint ticket with the nearby nunnery. The contrast was massive. This series of buildings will take your breath away, whether or not you are religiously inclined. Recommended!
