The culinary part of the... - The culinary part of the tour is to have a classic empanada and later fresh ceviche at the fish market. In between the guide took us on foot, on bus and on Metro from one end of Valaparaiso to the other, sharing history of Valparaiso. (Nothing about the mural art; wrong part of town.) Guide's English was pretty good, and he was quite kind with my wife who has a bit of mobility issues.

Good tour but pricey - If you go solo you have to pay more than a single although you only eat one serving. The food is minimal compared to other food tours I have done. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and the food was good but it seemed pricey for what you got..

Not exactly what I would consider a gastronomic tour - The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable about the city’s history, but we only primarily tried two kinds of foods (empanadas and ceviche), although he discussed others. The tour ended quite a ways from the meeting point and it was not clear in the booking information that we would not be returning to the meeting point and were responsible for our own transport back. All in all, I don’t feel like we got value corresponding to what we paid.
