Outstanding Experience. - Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We went out with just one other couple and Alice (owner) and her partner. The horse I rode was very responsive and well trained. Since everyone was pretty comfortable on horseback, we did some trotting and cantering. Getting to the highest point is a beautiful ride and once you’re there it’s amazing. It’s one of the few places on earth where you can do a 360 and see the curvature of the Earth everywhere. So, not recommended for flat-earthers. ;) Sunset from this vantage point is beautiful, especially if it’s a night like the one we went out on where there is some cloud cover, but not a lot. You can hike the trail on foot if you want, and we saw some people doing that, but nothing compares to doing it on horseback. Like anywhere in Chile, knowing some Spanish is helpful, but the owners at least have a working knowledge of English so you’re OK either way.

Highlight of Rapa Nui visit - The sunset ride to Mount Terevaka was the highlight of my trip to Rapa Nui. Pick up by Alice was easy and guides Tonchi and Nemo were incredible. They were as attentive to beginners as to making the trip exciting for more experienced riders. While I do ride, I am cautious on tours, but Tonchi and Nemo encouraged me to have fun — even to canter! I have done many trail rides and tours, but this has been the best experience. Instead of the usual nose-to-tail trail ride, it was tailored to participants’ riding levels. I left feeling even more confident in my horsewomanship. The views and colors are unbelievable, and you will experience parts of the island that many visitors don’t. The horses are well-cared for and helmets are provided. Thank you, Tonchi, Nemo, and Alice (and Merlot)!

One of a kind adventure - Had a great time. Lovely activity to get a good view of the island. I had originally booked the sunset ride but because the weather was too bad and raining it had to be cancelled due to safety. Tonchi was very prompt in reaching out and accommodating. Luckily we were able to move the ride to a different day before my flight out. I have heard from someone else who did the sunset ride it is beautiful and you can see the stars on the way back( but not recommend to take photos as can scare the horses). The horses where well cared for and happy, and a great thing to do if you want to see more of the island. If you have been on horse trail rides before the horses do have a some free will and will try to go there own way rather than just following the path so some guiding is required and Tonchi was close by if you needed some help. They provided a helmet. I would suggest wearing long pants so your legs don't get sore from the saddle. For any booking on Rapa Nui I recommend utilising WhatsApp. It make communication much easier as everyone else uses it.

AMAZING!!!! - We had an amazing time on the horse ride. We were reached out to on whatsapp and picked up at our hotel. The communication was super clear and had no issues getting to the stables. They helped us with the horses and we were off within 15 minutes, and the ride was fantastic. The views of the entire island at sunset were beautiful and the horses made all the difference. I HIGHLY recommend booking this for your trip to Rapa Nui, truly one of the most special moments of our trip!

Great horses and great ride! - The guides offer free rides to their ranch, where you’ll meet very calm and friendly horses. Listen to the guides’ instructions and you’ll have an easy ride to the sunset. We did this tour at New Year’s Eve. Memorable moments.

Meditation on horseback - ♥️♥️♥️ the best experience. Tonchi and Nemo are great, patient teachers. It's so relaxing to just trot along through the hills, past cows and wild horses. My horse (KT) galloped up a hill for like three seconds and it was the best three seconds of my life.

Wow wow wow - There are some places you go to and some experiences you have that you will remember forever and this was certainly one of those treasures. Alice and Nemo are just so lovely and hospitable and I felt right at home. I am an inexperienced rider but by the end of it I felt like I could easily move to Patagonia to become a gaucho. And getting to Terevaka itself feels like facing the spirt of Rapa Nui, it was truly amazing. Thankfully the sunset was better than I imagined and the footage/photos I got were remarkable. Even if there wasn’t a sunset I’d still definitely do this. Do Rapa Nui properly and just book this, you will cherish this memory for the rest of your life.
