This 3-hour walking food tour is the ideal way to explore Gastown’s lively culinary scene while delving into its legendary history.

- Minimum drinking age is 19 years. Non alcoholic options available upon request. Our guides reserve the right to ask for 2 pieces of ID
- Special dietary requests can be accommodated with 24 hours advanced notice. Our tour partners do their best to accommodate most dietary requests but please keep in mind that alternative food options may not be up to par to original tastings. Cross contamination are always a possibility and tour company cannot take responsibility for any possible reactions. NOTE: We are unable to accept bookings for children under 19 with severe food allergies eg. nut allergy etc.
- Tour is approx 2:5-3 hours long and covers approx. 5 blocks. 5 of the stops are sit down. Tour is on a schedule, although slower paced as tour guides stop during tour to show interesting points of interest in the neighbourhood.
- Please arrive hungry and dress for the weather. Tour operates rain or shine. Vancouver tends to get a lot of rain October-April so please bring an umbrella or rain jacket and wear comfortable shoes.
- There are 3 stops with stairs and only one has an elevator. If you have restricted mobility issues the tour may not be suitable for you.
- Persons under the age of 19 must be accompanied by an adult
- Family friendly (note that tour cannot accommodate strollers due to smaller venues and stairs)

Great tour, well worth it - Leave room for food, come on an empty stomach. The tour was awesome. It was great food and drink and our guide chirag was very informative and entertaining. He was awesome.

Great foodies tour - Really enjoyed our foodies tour. It was a small group and Chirag was very knowledgeable. There was a good balance of information and stops, delicious food and the right amount of time spent at each stop. Thank you for a great afternoon

History, Humor, and Amazing Bites - Each stop on the Taste of Vancouver tour offered something unique and delicious, making the whole experience feel exciting and varied. Our guide, Sean, was fantastic—funny, kind, and insightful. He clearly knows the city’s history and culture, and his witty little stories and comments added an extra layer of charm to each stop.

Gastown food tour rocks! - This tour was great. When the say “come hungry,” they really mean it. Our tour guide Sean really made the historical facts come alive with his broad knowledge and easy banter. And the food! From the opening craft brew to the Japanese, French, Italian and Canadian dishes, through the ice cream and waffle deserts, everything was top notch. Gastown is a true delight. Thank you Sean for a great tour!

A Perfect Blend of Flavour and Fascination – A Must-Do in Vancouver! - We had an incredible experience on the Gastown Food and History Tour — truly one of the highlights of our trip to Vancouver! From start to finish, the tour was seamless, engaging, and absolutely delicious.
Sean was phenomenal — knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about both the city’s history and its vibrant food scene. He brought Gastown’s past to life with fascinating stories, from its gritty, gold-rush beginnings to its evolution into the cultural gem it is today. Must do in Vancouver - We had an amazing tour of Gastown with our group. This was our first visit to Vancouver and the walking food tour was a great opportunity to learn about the city, taste delicious foods and meet other travelers.
Andrea was our tour guide, she was so friendly and helpful, we give her a 5 -Star for her customer experience.
Brioche was our favorite restaurant, we went back the next evening for dinner and Waffle Cafe was a delicious treat.
