Sherry made the whole trip - Sherry (Just like the Spanish Wine) was AMAZING. We were using the hop on and off all day but timing it to ensure we got Sherry. Learning the history of Vancouver with such a friendly, knowledgeable, and funny guide made the day so much better and we were quoting her the rest of the day! I’m not too much a reviewer but I felt I needed to with our experience with her. Do yourself a favor and use the hop on and off bus and make sure you get Sherry. She kept the atmosphere lively and had you engaged and the only guide with LIVE commentary not a recording. Love Sherry and Vancouver.

Amazing first driver, terrible second driver. - Our first driver, Sherry, was amazing. She was very informative and did a wonderful job narrating the whole time we were on the bus. The second bus driver…don’t even know his name. He never said a word. The recording was played but was so boring. And some stops were not even announced. So thankful we had Sherry at least for half the loop. For what you pay it would be nice to at least hear something from your driver.

Missy M - Good narration of local sites in Vancouver. Bus loop took 2 hrs, we chose not to get off. Many good stops to get off and explore on your own.

- The best part of this tour was Sherry, our first guide. She was animated, informative and she made the journey fun. The return trip was recorded and quite dull. And one of our stops was not even really announced? I feel like some of the stops and locations could be improved or eliminated. But overall a good experience and way to see the city!

This is great ONLY if you are gonne hope off and explore - The guy at the ticket redemption place was very lovely, and friendly. He went above and beyound to help me figure the morning out. Driver, although quiet most of the time, provided information when needed and waited at stops long enough. I only did the city tour since I am afraid of heights and needed 5 hours to kill after checking out of my hotel. Was raining cats and dogs, plus was alone and wearing a sandal due to foot injury, so did three laps instead of getting off and exploring the city. On the bright side, I learned a lot about Vancouver, BC from the audio guide. And if I was the posting type, I would have photos galore at my arsenal to keep folks glued to my profile for a few minutes on the social media of my choice. On the not-so-bright side, there wasnt much to see. Not saying the city isnt lovely. It is clean and full of nice people willing to stop and lend a hand, even if English appears a diffocult language for most of them [for an ex-British colony, and the English-speaking part of Canads, that is]. Even if USD doesnt go far here, Uber and doordash were cheaper than most Metropolitan cities. You also do not see a lot of homeless people on the streert, just folks on the way to and from work [thin and fit, like New Yorkers, but really awfully dressed. Like some country-bumpkin's version of hip]. Alas, none of it can hide the fact that Vancouer, BC, does not hold a candle to nearby Seattle, nor LA, nor Newyork, or even San Diego. The few places it could boast, and make the tour worth while, like the Totem Poles at Stanley Park, werent part of the tour. Nor did we go into the "world famous" market, or saw a lot of China Town [yes, they still call it that over there]. We kind of grazed by/over everything without offering a real glimpse of them for the traveller who may not have time to hop off and explore. Still, it wasnt the worst.

Disappointed overall, Sherry was great - Very disappointed with Big Bus Vancouver. I expected a continuous commentary about the city like I have experianced in other cities. Most of the time there was nothing but silence. When the automated commentary did run, it would often interupt itself midsentance and start something new. I would say Big Bus was a waste of time and money with the exception of Sherry and Coreen on the twilight tour. The live commentary between the two of them made the experience both educational and very entertaining. We also experienced Sherry narrating while driving during the afternoon hop on hop. Again Shery was fantastic but the prerecorded commentary on every other bus was awful.

Not enough buses! - We have ridden hop on hop off buses in many cities including Boston and Chicago and have had great experiences. Our experience in Vancouver was horrible. We got a two day pass. On the first day, we went to our nearest bus stop and waited 20 minutes. When the bus arrived, the bus driver said there wasn’t room on the bus. So we waited about a half hour for the next bus and got on. The commentary was not working very well. It kept stopping and starting and repeating what it had already said. We rode almost all the way around and got off at Stanley Park. After a nice visit there, we went back to the bus stop. The app kept saying that a bus was arriving but no bus did. After 45 minutes a bus arrived but it was too full for us to get on! After waiting about 5 minutes another bus arrived and we rode it back to our original stop. On the second day, we went to our closest stop and waited 20 minutes for a bus to arrive. Again, the bus driver said there wasn’t room for us. Rather than wait another 30 minutes, we walked to our destination, Granville Island. After a nice visit there, we got on a bus. Rode 5 stops and got off. When we wanted to get back on, there was a broken down bus at the bus stop. Looking at the app, we figured it would take the nearest bus about an hour to get to us. We gave up and called an Uber. While, in general, I would recommend hop on hop off buses, stay away from them in Vancouver!

Expensive, uncomfortable, late. NOT worth it - Expensive and horrible experience. No different than a city bus, it was hot, loud, and only had the occasional recording play to narrate something on the side of the road. Often "shopping" or hotels that were there and had no real point of interest. We moved 4 blocks in an hour and just gave up and got off. The route is easily walkable and more enjoyable. A few cabs/ubers will come in at a fraction of the cost with no lost value. I tried to ask for a refund since we didn't really receive any service and was told the "factors" were out of their control. Don't waste your money.
