Amazing even in the rain! - Whale watching has always been my bucket list and even though I'm local, I never was lucky enough to see orcas when they came close to shore. So finally I decided to book a proper tour with Prince of Whales for my family. Even with the pouring rain outside, we got to see multiple orcas and it was magical! Wilma/Nirma? (Sorry I didn't remember the name), Ashley and Petra were all so professional, kind and passionate which made our experience even better. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing - What an absolutely amazing tour, we saw orcas and not just one or two all together we saw 13 but also seals, sea lions, a bald eagle and a deer. I mean what a selection. A huge thank you to the captain’s Sean and Roman who found all these amazing animals and directed the boat around so smoothly respecting the animals but also making sure everyone had a chance to view them. Also a huge thank you to Ashley, Petra and Wilma for all the information the whole time, they made sure everyone was up viewing when animals were spotted, a very welcoming crew and thank you for the hot drinks on a cold wet day. Thank you all again for an amazing trip that we will never forget.

Wonderful Whale watching experience - Fantastic trip, saw pod of 13 Orcas, Seals, Bald Eagles, Deer and much more. Crew were great at keeping us informed throughout the trip. Ashley was full of knowledge and enthusiasm for the Orcas, added that extra bit to the trip. The Whale sighting guarantee was an added bonus, we went out 2 days earlier and despite seeing a grey whale they gave us another chance to go out, great service.

Half Day Whale Tour - April 4, 2025 - Hands down worth every penny! Anthony (Captain), James (first mate), Petra, Ashley & ?? (Sorry! Can’t remember the 3rd gals name) were kind, informative, and excellent at guiding us towards the animals and showing us where to look. We saw grey whales within 35 min of the tour. We sailed to see some sea lions and on the way saw Dall’s porpoises, followed up by 2 different pods of orcas. As the tour was winding down, Ashley spotted a male orca (Jack) so we were able to get a glimpse of another pod. Hands down the BEST experience! Pro Tip - if you don’t have cash, you can tip your crew with a credit card at the “cafe” in the galley. This crew did a killer job and deserves all the kudos!

Fabulous trip - We enjoyed our trip and found the crew to be incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The vessel was clean and well maintained and great for viewing. It was interesting to hear about the family group of orcas and to be able to ID them and also the Humpback that we saw. It was great to see the seals too and the scenery was gorgeous. Many thanks also to the office crew for the chat. Would love to see you guys visit Hervey Bay to see our whales one day. Kind Regards Jodie

Impressive start of an adventurous trip - Together with my children, I made a Zodiac excursion with this company from Telegraph Cove on the 14th of August 2023. It was really impressive to see wildlife in its natural surroundings, seeing 2 groups of orcas, 2 humpback whales and a dall porpoise. When I had to stay at Vancoucer before starting an adventurous trip to the Great Bear rainforest, I booked this whale watch trip on the 11th of October 2024. Although my experience with this company was very positive, my expectations weren't high because of the neighbourhood of a big city. The crew also tried to manage expectations by telling us that there was a limited chance to see orcas. But this trip was the best and an impressive way to start my trip. The catamaran is higher than a Zodiac. In some situations it gives a better view on the wildlife around. During our trip, we encountered a group of 3 humpback whales, a group of 4 orcas (against all expectations), a colony of stellar sea lions, harbour seals, a bald eagle couple, a kingfisher, 2 deer and at least 2 more humpback whales. It was a pleasure to see the enthusiasm of the crew. Although they do this trip a lot of times, they were as enthusiastic as all passengers on board giving us a lot of information about the animals. One of the crew members made pictures with a telezoom lens. A pleasant surprise was that all passengers received these pictures by e-mail after the trip. I really want to thank the crew members Jonathan, Roman, Wilma, Tobin and Miranda for this unforgettable trip. Although there is no guarantee to see as much wildlife as on this trip, it is a must do when you are in Vancouver.

Use this company! - We picked this company because of the great trip advisor trips, and I am so glad we did. We did the 1/2 day whale-watching trip and everything was 10/10. The staff were amazing (even with sea-sickness remedies), the boat was great with indoor and outdoor seating with no bad views, and the complimentary hot drinks were a nice touch. The team found Orca whales for us and we were able to take some great photos. The information shared by the Marine Biologists on board was really informative and the photo package was a great bonus with fantastic shots taken by the crew. If I go back to Victoria, this will 100% be a repeat trip.

Use this company for whale watching in Vancouver. - We did the 1/2 day tour. I loved everything about it. We were incredibly happy to be on a real boat (not a zodiac) because we didn’t have to wear the big orange suits, there was indoor and outdoor seating, and you still got to see just as much!! Our Captain (Jonathan) did an incredible job finding the whales. The naturalist in our area was Wilma and she was phenomenal. We learned a lot about whales and whale behavior and she has a great sense of humor. We got to see humpback and orca whales as well as Sea Lions. We had been warned there was a slim chance of seeing the orcas and I was impressed with the teams dedication to finding them. They also offer warm drinks (free) and snacks for purchase. They go rain or shine, so dress appropriately… you’re on water and it gets chilly. Also- manage your expectations. This isn’t Seaworld. Whales in their natural habitat don’t flip out of the water and do tricks. You mainly see their backs surfacing and the occasional tail flip. I see reviews with people complaining about only getting within a few hundred yards. There are laws about how close anyone can get. Even researchers can’t get closer. Don’t bash the company for following the law. I would definitely use this company again in the future.. we had a fabulous day!!!

We experienced 8 humpback whale sightings on the tour! - We were initially a little worried when we saw how many people were waiting to board the boat as we thought it looked overbooked and would be really crowded, however once we got started on the tour we found there was ample of room. We spent the first couple of hours touring the mountains which was very enjoyable and we saw some Seals before our first sighting of a whale. After the first sighting they just didn’t stop turning up, we saw 8 in total, all humpback whales, one of which decided to swim around and under our boat for about half an hour where we stopped and enjoyed watching, even getting covered when it blew its blowhole! The crew on the boat were very nice and overall it was an amazing experience. So glad we booked and to be honest, had we not seen any whales then the boat experience in itself through the mountains was enough in itself!
