Fun few hours in Sarnath - Mukund showed me around ancient Sarnath for two hours, and helped me arrange a driver back to the airport. He was very knowledgeable about Buddhist history and the different Buddhist schools and taught me a lot. Really recommend!

Varanasi and Sarnath with Mukund - A short tour in the evening in Varanasi in mid-September 2022. Despite a weather change at the evening ceremony, we Until the end of the day. Sarnath with Mukund only - Mukund is the best and most educated guide in Varanasi. We have booked him twice already and will do it again. His explanations are clear and concise, and well understood by his great German. All tours in Varanasi with Mukund are highly recommended! He's great.

Lovely location - The Sarnath Buddhist Temple, located 10 km northeast to Varanasi, is a tranquil and ancient famous touristic location abundant with Buddhism’s relics. I recommended you to take a tour guide to gain a deeper understanding about the temple(there are Hindi and English-speaking tour guides at the car park in front of the temple who themselves say that they need not be payed unless you wish to), ours was Mr. Deewakar Singh who was helpful, friendly and walked us through the temple and provided interesting information about the history of the temple and The Buddha. Lush green plants and trees and some unique flowers and fresh lotuses enhance the scenery and beauty of the Buddhist temple.
