Upon arrival in Sarnath [closed on Fridays], visitors can explore significant sites such as the Dhamekh Stupa, where Buddha delivered his first sermon. The Dharmarajika Stupa, built by King Ashoka to house Buddha’s relics, is another highlight. Additional attractions include Mulagandhakuti Vihara, Deer Park, and the Ashoka Pillar. The Sarnath Archaeological Museum, showcasing Buddhist art and cultural artifacts, will be the final stop before proceeding to the next destination.
- Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Golden Temple) - The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a renowned Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated in Vishwanath Gali, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Located on the western bank of the sacred Ganges River, it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the most revered Shiva temples. The main deity is known as Shri Vishwanath and Vishweshwara (Vishveshvara or Vishveshvur), meaning Lord of the Universe. Varanasi, historically known as Kashi (“shining”), lends the temple its popular name, Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
- Varanasi Cantonment - After visiting Sarnath, guests can explore the streets of Varanasi, wandering through ancient alleys and temples that captivate the senses. The itinerary includes a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the famous food streets of Varanasi, Kachuri Gali, Perfume Market, Flower Market, Silk Market, Souvenirs Market, and many other attractions.
- Manikarnika Ghat - Manikarnika Ghat is renowned as a sacred cremation ground for Hindus. It is one of the holiest cremation sites along the riverfronts (Ghats) of the Ganges. In Hindu belief, death is a transition to another life, influenced by one’s karma. It is believed that a soul achieves moksha, breaking the cycle of rebirth, when cremated here. The well at the ghat, known as Manikarnika Kund, was constructed by Lord Vishnu.
- Dasaswamedh Ghat - In the evening, guests will be taken to the banks of the Ganges to observe cremation rituals, followed by the enchanting grand prayer (aarti) ceremony, accompanied by a boat ride. This sacred event fills the atmosphere with its spiritual energy and significance. The tour concludes with the completion of the Ganga Aarti at approximately 6:00 pm.

3-Days Varanasi Exclusive Tour - Varanasi was everything we expected—chaotic, spiritual, and unforgettable. Raj at Memorable India put together a well-balanced 3-day plan that allowed us to explore, reflect, and rest. Our driver, Sukhveer, was courteous and patient as we visited ghats, temples, and markets.
The sunrise boat ride and the Ganga Aarti were truly surreal experiences. Our local guide even took us to the silk-weaving alleys, which were mesmerizing. Thank you for organizing such a powerful cultural immersion.
