Established under the B.H.U. Act 1915, it played a significant role in the independence movement and has evolved into a premier center of learning in India. It has produced numerous freedom fighters and builders of modern India, contributing significantly to the nation’s progress through its many distinguished scholars, artists, scientists, and technologists.
