Dashashwamedh Ghat is a prominent ghat in Varanasi on the Ganges River in Uttar Pradesh, located near the Vishwanath Temple. Two Hindu legends are linked to this ghat: one states that Brahma created it to welcome Shiva, and another mentions Brahma performing 10 Ashwamegha Yajna, Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna. The evening Arati here is very renowned.

• Man Mandir Ghat - Originally known as Someswara Ghat, Man Mandir Ghat was constructed in the 16th century CE by Raja Man Singh of Amer and was renamed in his honor. He also built a splendid palace here, noted for its intricate window carvings. The Archaeological Survey of India now maintains it. From the palace terrace, one can enjoy a panoramic view of all the ghats in Varanasi. An observatory, commonly referred to as Jantar Mantar, was established atop the Man Singh Palace in 1710 CE by Sawai Jai Singh II.

Located on the western bank of the River Ganga, the ghat is home to several temples, including the Rameshwara Temple, Sthuladanta Vinayaka, and Someswara temples. The Someswara Temple is an exact replica of the Someshwara lingam in Somanath, Gujarat. Many Hindu devotees visit this ghat to offer prayers to Someshwar.

• Domraja Palace - The Dom community has traditionally served as the custodians of cremation grounds. They are the keepers of the sacred fire, which is never allowed to extinguish, and are responsible for cremating the deceased. The chief cremation undertakers at Manikarnika and Harishchandra ghats in Varanasi are known as ‘Dom Raja’. Also referred to as ‘Choudhary’, they consider themselves descendants of Kalu Dom, who served as a cremation undertaker during the reign of Raja Harishchandra, an ancient king. It is believed that for a person to achieve moksha, the fire for the funeral pyre must be taken from the Dom Raja.
• Nepali Temple (Kathwala Temple) - Shri Samrajeswar Pashupatinath Mahadev Mandir, also known as the Nepali Mandir, Kanthwala Mandir, and Mini Khajuraho (Kanthwala in Hindi means wooden), is one of the oldest and most renowned temples in the sacred city of Varanasi. This temple holds significant religious importance in Hinduism and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built in the 19th century A.D by the King of Nepal, the temple is constructed from terracotta, stone, and wood and is a replica of the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.
• Manikarnika Ghat - Manikarnika is one of the most sacred cremation grounds among the revered riverfronts (ghats), located on the Ganges in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. In Hinduism, death is viewed as a transition to another life, influenced by one’s karma. It is believed that a soul attains moksha, breaking the cycle of rebirth, when cremated here.
