Must-do Cooking class - This cooking class with Patrizia and Luca was the absolute highlight of our trip, and we would give it 6 stars if we could. They were incredibly gracious and generous hosts and made us feel so welcome from the second we walked in the door. The pre-lunch appetizers and wine were both wonderful, and Patrizia’s instruction was clear and polished. They even provided taxi numbers to make the process of getting from Varenna to Pradelo easier. Of course, the pasta was exceptional and the view was world class. Couldn’t recommend this experience more!

Fun learning and eating experience - The class was held in a charming below ground room that was clearly ancient, but clean and nicely decorated. Monica was delightful and showed us how to make by hand two kinds of pasta (tagliatelle and ravioli) with sauces and tiramisu. It was hands on, with her demonstrating and then us doing. She did the final cooking and then my wife and I sat down to eat what we cooked for lunch. It was delicious. Monica supplied delicious wine and limoncello to go with our lunch. It might have been fun to have another couple in the class with us, although space was limited. Overall, we had fun, learned some cooking techniques, and had a delicious lunch from what we made.

A truly special experience in Lake Como - Our cooking class with Patrizia from Cesarine was one of the absolute highlights of our time in Lake Como. Set in the mountains with breathtaking views of the lake, the experience felt both intimate and unforgettable. Patrizia was kind, patient, and incredibly clear with her instructions as she guided us through making fresh pasta and tiramisu from scratch. What made the class especially memorable were all the thoughtful personal touches—from the homemade focaccia appetizer to the local products she used. Every moment felt warm and authentic. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something truly special in Lake Como!

Tutto squisito, grazie mille!! - Cooking with Patrizia was the highlight of our vacation. From the minute she and her husband Luca met us outside of their beautiful home overlooking Lake Como, they made us feel like family. We were with our two adult sons. She even catered to their allergies making substitutions, while still creating magnificent dishes. Preparing the dishes side by side with Patrizia and Luca made the experience so joyful and authentic, creating memories that will last a lifetime. While we were preparing our meal they served us wine with homemade focaccia bread, prosciutto, and cheese. Their hospitality exceeded all expectations. We sat outside overlooking Lake Como in a postcard setting. Needless to say, we bought a pasta maker the day we got home. We can’t wait to visit again. Many thanks and hugs. Spectacular cooking class in Italy - I’m not even sure where to begin to express how amazing this experience was! Patrizia was a kind and gracious host and welcomed our party of four into her mountain top home. There was as additional couple to make a total class of six people. The house was part of a hamlet of homes in the families for generations. The drive up the winding road served to give us spectacular views of the lake. Upon arrival, Patrizia greeted us and walked us a further 3-4 minutes to her home. She had a table set for our anticipated lunch (with the results of her tutelage) out in the garden with broad view of the lake and adjacent to her thriving vegetable garden. She taught us how to make Foccaccia, served us nibbles of meat and cheese with choice of wine. The first thing we made was Tiramisu so that it could chill properly while we were making the pasta. Then we made tortilloni and tagliatelle. Everyone joined in and with Patricia’s guidance and instruction, we made plain, spinach and tomato pasta. The resultant lunch was absolutely amazing. I give her the highest marks for a wonderful cultural experience that we will long remember. (We were staying in nearby Varenna and Patrizia also helped us organize transportation which was about a 25 minute drive.)

BE WARY OF LOCATION AND ADVERTISING - When we made this booking, it was titled: Cooking class in Varenna. I think the majority would deduce that the class is in Varenna… We were very excited and had our itinerary planned to be in Varenna for our cooking class. Being on the move and enjoying our holiday, it wasn’t possible for us to read the email they sent the day before the class. Bear in mind, the email was sent one hour before the cancellation period. When checking where the venue is on the day, it was too late to cancel. Multiple correspondence were made to try and cancel and get a refund because of the false advertising, but Cesarine and the host were not helpful. We relied on Trip-advisor for time, pick up and meeting point, therefore when we checked the message for the location, it was too late for us to make adjustments. Unfortunately, if you read more reviews of this class we are not the only ones with this experience.
