- Camaggiore - We meet at the pier at the Hotel Olivedo in Varenna. We board the car that will take us up to the mountains. Travel time will be around 40 minutes. On the way you’ll be able to admire dramatic landscapes, half-abandoned churches, orchards and, of course, the lake.\nWhen we reach the parking place we leave the car and the guide will take us on a nice walk through the forest with panoramas of the water surface. The walk will take 20-30 minutes depending on the walking speed.\nRising to the very foothills of the Alps, the views will finally open in all their glory. We now get to the picnic area, where you find everything ready for you, a light music in the background, an elegant atmosphere and a magnificent view. We will show you the products we have selected from local farmers and tell you where they come from and the stories behind these places, then leave you to enjoy the atmosphere! Fun, organised, beautiful views and fabulous food. - This was a lovely and easy day out with an enjoyable hike with brilliant views and a lovely picnic. Maria our guide had planned and organised everything and made it so easy for us with her organisation and knowledge. We are teetotal and vegetarian but this was not an issue. The picnic was huge and delicious and the views of the lake and the surrounding area were fabulous. Well worth the time and money. We especially liked how the tour stopped off at normally out of the reach places where the locals would benefit from tourism.

Amazing picnic and view!! - Wow, just wow! We did this to celebrate on the day of our 25th wedding anniversary and it could not have been more special. Every part of it was amazing. Maria is an amazing guide and we are so grateful to her! The walk after the drive was beautiful. The food was simply magnificent! We all could not believe the beautiful set up and the delicious wine and food. It was actually kind of surreal to be having the most beautiful picnic on the mountain side. Please don’t hesitate to book this, you will not regret it!

An outstanding 4 hours of our trip! - we finished up a 15 day trip to Italy (our first) and were looking for something off the beaten path while at Lake Como, and this looked so cool, and wound up being one of our favorite parts of the trip. Maria was just fabulous, so warm and did a great job. the picnic was so special for my wife and I that i highly recommend it. what a different perspective of the lake and what a great time for us!!

Beauty and generosity - Maria is an exceptional guide. She made us discover extraordinary views of Lake Como and the picnic is really good and hearty. But above all he is a kind and welcoming open person and very generous. Thank you very much for this fabulous experience that I recommend to all those who will go to the side of Lake Como and want a more natural experience, away from the crowds but all in beauty.

Perfect picnic highlight - This was the highlight of our stay in Lake Como. Our guides met us and were so helpful and friendly. They were knowledgeable of the area & wanted to create a positive experience for us.
The view was incomparable and the food was plentiful, delicious and just right for a mountain side picnic.
We were thrilled that we booked this event. The photos we shared with friends & family really impressed.

Maria and Hayden were... - Maria and Hayden were when absolute pleasure. We had a great time enjoying our picnics and the views. It was a very special way to end our last day on our trip as we also spend some time with locals. Thank you for making this day magical!

Just book this tour! I can't even be objective! - As couple friends went with Maria on this hike and picnic last year about this time. You should just book this tour!!! I don't even want to say anything because you just have to experience this day. We had an amazing time in Italy and this day was right up there at the very top!!! The views, Maria, the food, surprises. See the real beauty of Lake Como!

Wonderful day above Lake Como - This was a wonderful experience. It was our first full day in Lake Como and I could not imagine a better way to spend the afternoon. The hosts are fantastic and super nice! They are both wonderful human beings. The food and wine were also delicious. Of course, the views were spectacular. Highly recommend this experience!

Maria’s picnic experience. - Maria takes the picnic/charcuterie experience to great heights. It was so nice to leave the crowds below at the lake. Complete attention to detail and nothing was left undone. A very nice hike as well.

Absolutely exceptional in every way! - This was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The genuine hospitality, breathtaking location, and outstanding food was something truly special.
Maria made the entire experience exceptional with her warmth and attention to detail. Her genuine care for us was evident throughout, and she made every moment feel personalised and welcoming. She was so kind and helpful, going out of her way to assist us with getting to the meeting location and back to our hotel.
The setting was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, and the food was superb!
This is something I’d highly recommend. It’s so unique and something that everyone should add to their bucket list!
Those few amazing hours will be remembered by us forever! Thank you so much Maria for one of my favourite memories ever!! Grazie mille!
