I visited the Caves of Charco Azul since I was in high school in 1984, studied Biology and practiced caving since 1996. As a cavers I will provide you with the equipment required for cave exploration and as a biologist, I will raise awareness of the importance of preserving the environment by making your experience a memorable adventure.

Certified biologists or guides will provide an educational experience, discussing the area’s significance, cave formations, and the local flora and fauna, as well as showcasing petroglyphs that highlight the historical presence of the Tainos. Visitors will explore the Arenal Caves, with the opportunity to swim in a small canyon carved by water. For those seeking excitement, there is an option to leap into the water and explore the subterranean world of the Blue Puddle Caves, featuring a waterfall and stunning limestone formations. After the activity, participants can continue their day by visiting nearby beaches and enjoying Puerto Rican cuisine.
