An informative tour of the churches of old Goa - An ideal way to to see the churches of Old Goa as explained by a knowledgeable tour guide, Vimala Desouza. It was offered at a convenient start time of 8:30 AM before the heat of the sun got too oppressive and the churches got crowded. I would highly recommend this tour for a deeper understanding of the historical and religious significance of the churches in Old Goa. Villa also had some nice tips on what to see and do Fontainhas. This included a recommendation to visit a historic bakery in the Latin Quarter.

Both Se Cathedral and... - Both Se Cathedral and Basilica Bom Jesus were closed during my tour - disappointing but not the fault of Make it Happen. The tour guide, Yashasvi, took us by St Augustine Tower instead. I appreciated her efforts to adjust the itinerary.

Best walking tour of Old Goa Heritage sites - We had a great opportunity to walk the old Goa heritage sites with Vimala. With Vimala's knowledge, enthusiasm and storytelling style, it was a truly memorable day for us. Starting from the little known Viceroy's Arch and ending at the crowded Basilica this walk covers old Goa's important monuments and stories associated with them. Highly recommended to all the visitors to Goa.

the Old Goa Heritage Walk with Vimla 🌿 - I recently did the Old Goa Heritage Walk with Vimla, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The way she explained everything was so, so wonderful that I could remember so many details in just one go. The story she narrated outside the cathedral was fascinating, and when she took us inside — especially into the Sé Cathedral (St. Catherine’s Cathedral) — it felt like stepping back in time. She beautifully described the stories depicted on the walls and explained the miracle of St. Catherine with such clarity and depth that everyone, from a 5-year-old child to retired people above 50, could easily understand and enjoy. Her storytelling is clear, engaging, and full of warmth. She makes history come alive through her words — connecting every monument, every stone, and every story with such ease that you feel part of the past. The walk was well-paced, perfectly organized, and filled with interesting facts and local anecdotes. Vimla’s knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm made the entire experience meaningful and memorable. I would highly recommend attending her walk — she truly brings the heritage of Old Goa to life. You don’t just see the place; you feel it through her stories. 🌸

Lovely walk through Old Goa - A lot of information is provided about the history of Old Goa and its churches. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is understandably a little crowded, but the rest of the walk leading up to it is calm, peaceful, and nice.
