Glassblowing Class: Murano's Unique Hotshop

In Murano, there’s nothing quite like this experience. It’s the sole location where one can attend an incredible class alongside skilled glass masters working at an actual furnace. This isn’t a demonstration; it’s a genuine hotshop!

Great experience! - My husband and I had such a fun time making our own pieces! Truly a once in a lifetime experience getting to do this class. We paid to have the items shipped back to us in Texas, for 4 pieces it was about $90 euro to ship (March 2026).

Great experience! Hands... - Great experience! Hands on while other tourists can just watch. Staff was very nice and love that our Murano souvenirs are our own unique creations. We stayed on Murano island so it was easy to go back and pick up our glasswork (ready 3 hours after class ends).

Fun and unique experience - Loved this experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting a unique, hands-on activity. Emilia was a great teacher and helped my wife and I make beautiful cups. Instructions were clear and even with a 2000 degree oven, it felt very safe. Thanks for a memorable time!

You NEED to do this—A Bucket-Filling Bucket List Event - We went as two couples from one family and were the entirety of the class. None of us had worked with glass before. The staff who greeted us were super welcoming and then we were sent under the tutelage of Emilia for the lesson. She has a knack for teaching the art & the science of glass making and clearly loves the art, which kept us engaged for the entire lesson. It is an active production site, so we also got a bit of a sneak peak at the experts blowing and creating beautiful glass items. We each left with a drinking glass we’d blown (with Emilia’s expertise helping to finesse it, of course). The showroom is lovely with pieces at all price points—from magnets for 9 Euros to elaborate art pieces collectors will love. I learned so much in 2 hours—from the feel of the hot glass on the rod to the annealing process. Both sides of my dichotomous art and science brain left feeling fulfilled and intrigued. Thanks Emilia & team for the incredible experience!—Lisa et al

Highly recommended family activity - Fabulous experience for all ages. We did it for my daughter’s 17th birthday and had a blast. You learn about glass blowing and tour the workshop before creating your own piece. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly. You do it in a group of four so there is plenty of time for questions and practice.

Incredible Bucket List Experience!! - We planned this experience while planning our trip with hopes that it would be an enjoyable thing to do. We had no idea that it would end up being as unforgettable as it was. We enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful creations being made by the artisans all around us. The atmosphere was exciting and beyond interesting. We made our projects with Melissa's help. She was patient and answered all of our questions while making sure we were safe while we were hands-on with our projects. We created wonderful memories and have an awesome physical reminder of this bucket list event!
