Extraordinary experience in Venice ! - We were on a boat tour with Luigi on a windy day - and the only guests in his historic boat, because the others probably feared the splash water. Luigi brought us safely and well to the islands after a very interesting walk through Venice's streets, and what we experienced and experienced on this tour was really fun for us and deepened our understanding of the lagoon and Venice . We were on the road with him for almost six hours in total and it wasn't boring for a second because he could tell very vividly about the historical, economic, cultural and political, without any tourist guide attitude, all direct, educated, understandable . We were given a guided tour of a factory in Murano, learned about the beginnings of Venice in Torcello, were able to visit the old basilica, learned about the leisure activities of the Venetians; enjoyed Burano's cheerful color and also had time for a Cicchetti snack there after an impressive visit to the traditional top shop. One of the best activities of our Venice trip !

A Must Do Venetian Experience We Wish Lasted Longer - If you are even considering the Traditional Bragozzo Boat Tour to Murano, Burano and Torcello, just book it. This ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip. The boat itself is stunning, classic, intimate, and far more charming than the typical crowded tours. It felt authentic and gave us a true Venetian experience. One tip, make sure you wear a waterproof coat, especially if you are sitting toward the front, because you can get a bit of spray from the water during the ride. Each stop had its own unique vibe. Murano’s glassmaking was fascinating, Burano looked like a postcard with its colorful houses, and Torcello was peaceful and almost surreal. The pace is definitely quick. You do island hop and keep moving, but it never felt chaotic or disorganized. Everything was smooth, well timed, and thoughtfully planned, so we were able to see a lot without it feeling stressful or overwhelming. What truly made this experience unforgettable was our guide, Luigi. He was exceptional, knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about Venice and its history. He did not just recite facts. He told stories, answered every question, and made the entire day feel personal and special. His energy and attention to detail elevated the entire experience. Honestly, the only thing we would change is making the tour longer. We did not want it to end. If you want something memorable, romantic, and truly Venetian, this is it. And if you get Luigi as your guide, consider yourself very lucky.

Small group tour and fantastic to do Torcello too - We had an amazing time on the traditional bragozzo boat tour to the islands. Our guide, Luigi, was brilliant—he was so friendly and knowledgeable, sharing great stories about the lagoon that made the whole trip feel really personal. The bragozzo itself is a beautiful historic wooden boat and definitely the best way to get around; it felt much more authentic and special than being on one of the larger, crowded tourist ferries. Our first stop in Murano was excellent. We loved the glass-blowing demonstration and seeing the glass master at work. It was so impressive that we ended up buying a few pieces of Murano glass to take home. Burano was a real highlight. It was the perfect spot for lunch, sitting by the water with a wonderful view of all those famous brightly coloured houses. We also visited Torcello Cathedral (Santa Maria Assunta), which is currently undergoing some major renovations - top tip is to keep your St Mark's Basilica ticket as gives you free access here). This was the best part of the day as there were hardly any other tourists around so it felt very peaceful and like we had the whole historic island to ourselves. The most unreal part of the day was stopping at the monastery on the island of San Francesco del Deserto. It's such a quiet, unspoilt island and the views looking back towards Burano are just incredible. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more traditional and relaxed way to see the islands with the best guides!

A perfect way to see the Venetian islands - What a perfect way to explore the islands of the Venetian lagoon. Both Luigi and Francesco were delightful, very helpful and knowledgeable. With a maximum number of 10 passengers, this is a friendly intimate experience. Nothing was too much trouble for either of our guides. It is a small, open boat so you do need a reasonable degree of agility to get it in and out at each stop. However, both Luigi and Francesco were on hand to assist and as a reasonably fit almost 70 year old, I had no trouble at all. Each one of the three islands is extremely interesting and each one is different, it is certainly well worth visiting all of them. Very good value and a wonderful way to escape the crowds of Venice. Highly recommended.

Luigi is great! - This tour is exciting and very informative. Luigi was a wonderful guide and skipper of the boat. He made it seem like an adventure. He speaks Italian, English and French and easily and expertly switches between languages, depending on who is in the boat. He also gave us plenty of time to shop for items on each island and to have a lovely meal before we sailed back to Venice. I highly recommend this unique boat tour for anyone who’s interested in going to the islands.

A trip of a lifetime- not to be missed - Luigi, our tour guide and boat captain, was a delight. Friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. It was a fabulous journey into the different islands, seeing sights, learning their stories history. Luigi also found us a wonderful restaurant on Burano where we had the best seafood pasta and prosecco. Luigi went way above our expectations and we enjoyed every moment. A trip of a lifetime.

Nothing to do with the description - The experience was very disappointing. Contrary to the description the guide did not speak a word of French. After we had to walk through Venice for 20 minutes in a brisk walk to reach the boat. Boat that was not at all a traditional fishing boat but a simple taxi boat. Then we are told that we will not make the three islands but only Murano and Burano because the third would be flooded (surprisingly we went there the next day by our own means and that did not cause any problem). And what about Burano's final departure. Or it was agreed that we should contact the taxi boat at the time of our departure. And obviously when we contacted him the pilot was no longer available and we returned on our own... So you will understand that in view of the fare I cannot recommend this excursion which was a disaster.
