Awesome Experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our gondola ride. The singer and guitarist were superb and very friendly. It made the trip very memorable and enjoyable for us. I would highly recommend the sunset gondola ride.

Go with a little lower expectations - I wanted a five star review. The music was wonderful, our gondola mates were nice. The trip was beautiful. My only negative. Our gondolier never spoke a word, never smiled and looked bored. I get it, tourists can be a pain, but we paid for an experience. Also just a note. The shag carpet trim around the seats was a little tacky. HOWEVER that was a personal opinion and didn't affect the ride.

The mask shop with its proprietor were terrific, and we did buy 3 masks. We walked past the place where they build gondolas, but couldn't enter. The guide recommended a good place to have lunch.

Ok but not as good as expected - The gondolier and the gondola itself were both great! And Venice is amazing. However……. Because there was another couple that entered the boat first we sat apart. Perhaps we should have researched this more or perhaps we should have got on board first. But it certainly detracts from the “romance” if you’re sitting at opposite sides of the boat and can’t even get good photos. The music was ok but was effectively shared between a fleet of boats. No big deal. Finally, whilst we were given masks - and they were traditional paper machet not just plastic, they were plain white. We purchased our own colourful plastic ones and left these behind. Hope this helps

No leather except when I asked what the... -
No leather except when I asked what the masks were made of in a shop that we walked past and she went to ask what the material was and we were told it was leather. No jewelry craftsmanship at all. One stop at a jewelry shop when the owner pushed us to buy. The paper making was a very quick demonstration after we were told there would be no demonstration. The glass part was great.

Our guide was knowlegable, but at the 2hour mark left us. I was so looking forward to the fabrics. The mask shop was tiny and one of us was able to create a mask from the beginning. Very good demonstration and instructions. The glass demonstration was better than the Murano tour taken to the Island. If you are short on time, this glass demo is a good bet.

Do not choose this tour. You are better off booking on your owns - Worst experience with Viator. I do not recommend this. It was a waste of time and money. Tour guide more interested in getting a tip for little service. So disappointing, this is my first review. Book this on your own.
