Excellent trip, Savvas is a wonderful guide! - I had a wonderful day trip with Savvas! He explained all about the Greek culture and stories on the way to our destination. He was patient and kind and made time to stop and take pictures for me. He provided door to door 5 star service the whole day including lunch and shopping recommendations. I would highly recommend taking this trip, it was beautiful!

Exceptional driver and ‘non” tour - Savvy’s was an exceptional professional driver. It was a pleasure to get to know him. We really appreciated his authentic pride in his work. This is not a guided tour which worked perfect for us. His knowledge and insights were just right. The visit to phillipi was a highlight of our trip.

Amazing Archaeology in the heart of Macedonia - We arranged for a private tour to Vergina and Veria for our stop in Thessaloniki on our Explora cruise. Savvas met us right by the cruise port in a very comfortable, air conditioned car. He took us to the museum of the Royal Tombs of Philip II and Philip IV in Vergina which was about an hour from the port. From there we hiked up to see the ruins of the theater and palace of Phillip II. Savvas was very attentive to our mobility issues and was able to procure a makeshift walking stick for my husband for the steep walk down from these ruins. From there we went to the polycentric museum of Aigai, where we saw the different artifacts found in the tombs. Savvas also drove us to Veria and took us around to see the oldest synagogue in northern Greece and the old Metropolitan church of Veria. We walked around and saw the Footsteps of the Apostle Paul as well. At the end of the tour, Savvas drove around Thessaloniki his hometown and took us for Trigona Elenedis, a pastry Thessaloniki is famous for and a Frappe coffee. It was an amazing tour. We wished we could have stayed longer to see more of Thessaloniki.
