Great commentary by Hummingbird - Our driver, Hummingbird, was excellent- witty, savvy, and friendly, she gave great live commentary. She drives the black bus, ‘tho the others are red.

Make sure you get a bus schedule! - We didn't start off to a great start. When we arrived to check in, we did not receive a bus schedule, so we didn't know there was a wait between busses when we hopped off. Luckily, a group informed us there was a schedule and let us take a picture of it. The 2nd tour bus we hopped on was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! The driver was so enthusiastic, knew a lot of knowledge, and also added some of his personality into it. It was a very pleasant turnaround and we enjoyed it the rest of the tour!

Fun Experience! - We did this tour two weeks ago. It was a fun tour. It gives you the highlights of Victoria without a lot of walking and do a nice job narrrating. You have the option of a covered double deck or uncovered second level. We did the uncovered second level. This is supposed to be a hop on hop off bus, but it was several hours long without hopping off at all, which we did. You can use this to get off and do things like lunch and dinner, and other things. Overall a good experienced. A lot of the stops are quite a ways apart, so makes it a little less convenient to get on and off. We had several older people and a baby in our group, so it worked quite well for this, and was entertaining for all.

You need to have a... - You need to have a shuttle at the cruise ship. We had to walk way too far into town to get on the bus. Then there wasn’t enough time to see everything. Wasn’t able to download our tickets on our phones terrible set up

Sites Closed! - No-one informed us that the Castle was closed on Mon-Tues. That was the whole point of the trip for us! We were also dropped off & had to walk up a very steep hill for NOTHING. Additionally, the audio was WAAAAAYYY too loud - it was so painful it hurt my ears

Don’t be fooled - The bus was not running at the time. No one said you give all your busses to ship excursions. I’m requesting a refund or a stop pay on credit card.

Dumb - Make sure you have internet access to get a ticket even tho I printed mine they still wouldn’t let us on when the bus stopped at the wharf. We were told to keep walking to downtown And there’s no one at the cruise ship we had to walk 20 min to downtown to find someone then am told there is no more buses we finally was able to get on one and was only 2 stops. It was bs. Very disappointed in this and will not ever book with you again

Worst Hop On/Hop Off Experience - Of many Hop On/Hop Off experiences, this was the worst. The bus arrived early (or late?), and the driver refused to wait 3 minutes for my friends to get to the bus stop. The stated reason was a strict schedule. He said there would be another bus in 30 minutes. The next bus arrived 1 hour 20 minutes later. Like a previous reviewer, I did not want to leave the bus for free the failure to strictly adhere to their schedule might keep me from returning to the ship in time. To the tour operator: please do not respond with your standard "road closures and festival induced route alterations" excuses. There was no traffic congestion and the driver announced a route alteration due to a local event, which he said would remove 3 of the usual stops. This was truly disappointing as I have used Hop On/Hop Off buses for years, in and out of the U.S., and have never had such a terrible experience.
