The Whale-Watching was excellent; the package not so much - Very worthwhile, but I probably wouldn’t use Lotus Lands again. We booked this experience through Lotus Lands. They arranged a driver in Vancouver for us, booked the seaplane and booked the actual whale-watching with Orca Spirit Adventures. Orca Spirit Adventures was excellent — five stars for them. Our driver was excellent as well. The problem with Lotus Lands is that it does not offer any choice about the seaplane flights, the actual vessel or the departure location. If we had booked the seaplane directly (which we now know is easy to do), we certainly would have taken different flights. If we had booked directly with Orca Spirit (which we now now is easy to do), we would have had a choice of vessels and we probably would have selected a smaller vessel -and a different departure point. So while we had a great time out in the water, courtesy of Orca Spirit, I suggest booking the components of the experience separately. I add that we did have a booking problem as well — Lotus Lands had failed to give our names to Orca Spirit. It turned out not to be a problem, but only because the vessel was not otherwise fully booked.
