Great morning out on the... - Great morning out on the Pacific Ocean. Captain George is the topman, knowledgeable and informative; we saw killer whales, a humpback whale, sea lions and even a sea otter. Had a really fun time.

Fantastic time on the zodiac tour! - We had such a fun time!! Gary was our guide and he was very nice and helped us spot orcas and other whales! Highly recommend this tour over the catamaran if you want a true ‘on the water’ more intimate experience - we were jumping waves and feeling the ocean spray! It was a blast!!

Best day ever!!!!! - Omg!! We had an amazing trip - we have been 3 or 4 times but this time we brought our grown kids and grand kids age 6 and 9. Our guide was Sam and he was an excellent communicator- set clear expectations and communicated throughout the trip about what we were doing, where we were going and made sure everyone was good to go. We saw orcas right away !!! My grand kids loved it so much they were yelling “Nana! Are you loving it?” The wind kicked up while out there - not avoidable as it is nature- generating water spray on the return and we loved it. We got to the mouth of the harbor and still had an hour left and Sam asked if people wanted to go in (due to wetness) or go some more and everyone wanted to do more!! Leave your valuables and electronics in the locker provided if you are worried about getting them wet - or bring a pouch or ziplock. That’s on You!!! After the trip my grandkids said they would remember it FOREVER! Thank you Sam from the Texas clan!! We will be back.

Experience of a lifetime - Our experience with Prince of Whales from start to finish was wonderful. The team of customer service reps at check in were top notch and incredibly helpful. Yeah We had a beautiful day out on our Zodiac. Our guide/captain Sam was phenomenal. He established communication and comfort at the very beginning to ensure we knew we could let him know if things were too fast, etc. We arrived out to sea and saw a family of orcas—it was incredible. Sam did a beautiful job following them and giving us a fantastic viewing experience. We had quite the adventurous ride. I would do it again in a heartbeat and I absolutely would want Sam again! Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!

So so… - I went with this tour group because the boat is at boat level. It was hard to find whales in the afternoon. If i were to do it again, I would choose the whale company on the Wharf on the larger boat that everyone stills low on water.

An ok tour - didn't get a single photo worth keeping - but better ones out there who will travel further to get you the best sig - This operator has the most expensive zodiac tour in Victoria so I had high expectations as it was my 6th whale watching cruise in 7 days and my 3d zodiac one. You will get wet - guaranteed - it's the smallest zodiac I took. Raj the skipper and staff at the office were wonderful. Humpback whale sighted for 2 seconds as it went down and a few orcas from a distance just swimming around. You can't control the wildlife but we spent a lot of time waiting for other boats from the same operator to arrive at our location, like 40 mins. I would have preferred searching for more whales - that's what all the other tour operators did. We found our whales just outside of Victoria, so we could have gone a lot further. Other tour operators took me/group up to 70 miles round trip and we saw so many more whales and orcas on those trips.

Disappointing experience - This was really disappointing. The first hour we went near the San Juan Islands and found a pod of orcas, which was amazing to watch. But after that, our guide spent the last 1.5-2 hours taking us on a joy ride over waves (lots of hard drops - nearly everyone else in the boat wanted to do it, so we were stuck). Coming back into the harbor, we crashed through a wave which thoroughly soaked everyone head to toe (water was everywhere, including my pants and shoes under the body suit), and later I found out that my phone (which I had in the pocket of my water suit) has moisture in the charging port and can no longer be plugged in. If you want a trip where you just want to go enjoy wildlife and watch whales, I would take one of their bigger boats and not do the zodiac (we weren't closer to the orcas than the larger boats were).
