Canopy Tour Feb 2026 - What fun! A group of seven of us did this Canopy Tour. The joke was on me when we arrived and the guides started helping us with harnesses and gloves -- "Wait, wha?! What do you mean, this is zip lining?" Somehow it never sunk in that "Canopy Tour" really meant ziplining across the Zambezi River gorge...I honestly was thinking we would be walking through the canopy on suspension bridges (think Capilano Suspension Bridge Treetops in Vancouver, British Columbia). Well, after I got over the shock, I found it to be a very cool first-time-ever-ziplining experience! Did not have a fear of heights --but did struggle a bit everytime when we first had to jump off the box! The guides were terrific, patient and helpful. Shoutout to Dingy and Gift. "Aim for the box!" "Keep your hand behind you!" The rocky climb back up after it was all over was a little challenging --- but mostly because it was hot and humid. We were delighted too that the base location for the tour was at the Lookout Cafe --where we had just a day earlier enjoyed a lovely meal there. The warthog family feeding on the grounds was an added touch to a wonderful experience. Thank you Wild Horizons! And thanks for having the photographer follow along and capture our memorable experience!

Great fun! - Had a blast on this zipline, only the second we have done. Fantastic views of the river and canyon. Was a bit of a rocky scramble walking back up but would highly recommend this. Guides were helpful and safety conscious. We are in our early 70's and in fairly good shape.

Good fun for kids and easy access to Lookout Cafe - Kids loved it and as a bonus the grown ups got entry to the Lookout Cafe which is almost impossible to book direct.

The canopy tour was a... - The canopy tour was a super relaxed but fun introduction to ziplining, and even my husband who's afraid of heights had a great time! Surrounded by the gorgeous view of the Batoka gorge and with the help of our guides, Michael and Gift, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who would like to have a go at some ziplines whilst also enjoying the surroundings.

Excellent adventure with spectacular views. - Everything about this adventure was perfect. On time pickup, our pair of guides, the zip lining itself, and the views from high above the Zambezi river gorge all exceeded our expectations. Our guides were extremely safety conscious and provided detailed explanations of how to safely maneuver ourselves on the zip line. This really helped my wife and I to relax and enjoy the multiple lines that we used to cross cross the gorge. When you start, you are very high up above the gorge which can be quite intimidating if you are afraid of heights and/or never have zip lines as was the case for my wife and I. Our guides were patient with us and were able to calm our nerves by explaining in detail how the zip line works and what to do and not do. Have to say, the views from up there were spectacular. Think we did a total of nine zip lines which got easier to manage with each one. By the second or third, we felt like pros. Well worth the price for sure. A real memory maker!

Poor communication and execution to the lead up nut the tour was fantastic - We booked via Viator and had a confirmation that we would be picked up at The Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia. The morning of the tour we still had not heard from the actual operator so we reached out to them and they said that they were not picking us up at our hotel and we had to make our own way to the border despite having the confirmation that they would. We did make our way to the border where we were sup to be picked up once again there was no one to pick us up. Luckily our driver from the Royal Livingstone drove us to the activities center. Once there we did enjoy the canopy tour and our guide, Knowledge, was excellent and fun
