• Maldonado Bistro Gozo - Once everybody arrives we will go to our open kitchen space which is situated above the restaurant. There we will brief guests about the recipes for the day and start light preparation.

After some preparation is done we will go for a walk to the market centre to purchase ingredients we still need for the cooking class. The walk can include a stop at a fishmonger, a cheese maker, and a butcher. All depends on the recipes on the day.

We then return back into our fully airconditioned and equipped kitchen to roll up our sleeves and get cooking together.

Your host shares some cooking from his childhood memories. You will be given the opportunity to discover and make some traditional Maltese recipes. This is a hands-on activity where guests will be expected to participate in the preparation of some genuine home-made cooking, savoury snacks such as pastizzi, a Gozitan ftira, and traditional nougat.

After cooking we will enjoy the fruit of our endeavours as a lunch accompanied with some water and a glass of wine or beer.

Guests will be given a copy of all recipes as well as a food souvenir to take home.

You’ll also have the chance to visit the heart of Victoria to source some of our ingredients. Lastly, you’ll get to relish the lunch you crafted.
