Dive into the history of my profession - Exciting to review where the whole history of psychoanalysis began. And where he lived and attended his analysts. His objects people, some of course, his letters, his books. Go back in time and live this moment.

An immersive and engaging journey to where psychoanalysis was born. - A compelling journey to the birthplace of psychoanalysis and into the life of Sigmund Freud. Very interesting. Nice movie commented by Anna Freud.

Recomendable 100% - The museum is in the house where he was raised and where he opened his first office. Him and his daughter. While there are few elements of them, as they were taken to London on the run, their life is very well told and the whole experience is beautiful. One can imagine being there.

Feeling to be experienced - Beautiful experience in the house museum that summarizes - without pretensions of exhaustiveness - the life and works of the great philosopher. Walking in the same spaces that housed his work, on books and with patients, offers a feeling that is difficult to put into words, for which it is advisable to have this experience

Not just Freud’s house, it’s an experience - Definitely would recommend if you’re interested in exploring the birthplace of modern psychology. It’s smaller than expected, but there’s massive historical value. The experience is fascinating, there are QR codes around. I really liked the one inside Freud’s treatment room wherein the QR code would virtually show you where the couch (his patients lied on) is positioned. And just stepping into the place, including the other half of the museum where Freud and his family used to live, has this very intimate sense of what life was like during that time period.

Informative excursion destination also for "greenhorns" - You can really get back in time in Freud’s home and workplace. The tour of 1 hour is perfectly summarized and leaves time for the subsequent Walking tour alone to dive deeper into the life of the Freud family. Great excursion destination in Vienna, especially combined with the Freudrundweg.

A lot to read...but worth it - the museum is a piece of history and well worth a visit...especially for those people who thought they knew him and his family. we enjoyed our time. You can walk room by room and you will read the history and see the artifacts of the time. Unfortunately, all the walls have been painted over, so it is just a shade of white and there is no furniture in any spaces.

Visit if you have the time, not a must see attraction - We did this as another attraction we'd booked onto fell through. It was interesting and passed the time well. It's pretty cool that Sigmund lived and worked from this apartment. I learnt a lot but there's a lot a reading to do in the museum. I think it would be better if there was more interaction. Videos. Audio. Touch screens. Mix it up a bit instead of reading war and peace.
I think it's a good backup attraction. A lot of the inside is quite bare. There's not a lot to see as he and his family had to flee to London when the war started.

Would not recommend, very poor museum - I'd say it's not worth visiting. I visited with my family, where we are 3 psychologists (1 of whom is psychoanalyst). We essentially visited an empty house, without furniture, only with some Freud objects and photographs. The exhibition talked about his work, but did not add any information that any Cover who has read 1/2 books about Freud would not know. They could have invested more in this exhibition using augmented reality (something they do in the first room of the exhibition where, through the camera of the mobile phone, we can see the sofa of Freud) but choose to leave a house practically empty as a museum... was very disappointing.

Skippable - I didn't want to be too harsh, but because of considerable flight delays, we only had one full day in Vienna, so this was a waste of time. You wander through all sorts of rooms and read and read and read. Seattle is a long way to travel to read dry descriptions on a wall. No attempt to make Freud "come to life," as they had the opportunity to do. My brother, a psychologist, was very interested from a prior visit, but honestly, even reading on the internet would be more visual and enlightening to psych academics.
