- Kunst Haus Wien. Museum Hundertwasser - Hundertwasser Museum in KUNST HAUS WIEN was founded by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, one of the most important Austrian artists of the 20th century. The unique museum, not far from the Hundertwasserhaus, follows the philosophical and creative principles of the famous exceptional artist. On several exhibition levels, the Museum Hundertwasser combines the most important aspects of his work and shows the world’s largest collection of his paintings, prints, tapestries and architectural designs.
In Vienna’s first “green museum”, visitors can also experience the visionary ecological commitment of Friedensreich Hundertwasser – he experimented with green roofs and placed trees in the facades.
In addition, KUNST HAUS WIEN presents comprehensive and outstanding photography exhibitions with renowned artists who have written photographic history on the one hand and young contemporary positions on the other, thus offering the photography scene a central platform for dealing with the medium.

A creative visionary. - A man before his time, & uniquely himself in so many different forms of art. For him, art is the foundation of life. Unlike many or the artists of his time, he lived by his beliefs in making good. I love his understanding of the spiral as a model for life.

Do not miss this quirky museum - worth it! - Seeing the work of this quirky architect/artist/philosopher was one of my favorite experiences in Vienna. Don’t miss this, his grand little museum and have coffee or lunch for sure in the cafe. Just whimsical and wonderful and you’ll leave talking or if you’re alone you’ll be smiling. His philosophy is that we belong as one with nature - and that joy is important in life. Glorious museum. Great gift shop, fantastic terrace/garden restaurant and absolutely fascinating exhibits. (I also enjoyed the special exhibit of kinetic art that was shown on the top floor, though this exhibit is due to cycle off soon). Do not miss this museum, especially if you are a fan of Escher or Alice in Wonderland.

Kunst Haus Wien - an experience - The visit of the Kunsthaus Wien is the Hundertwasser Museum was a highlight of our visit to Vienna.
Very good concept, great performance of his works. Well organized and friendly staff.
At the end in the cafe with top service and outstanding cheesecake.
Problematic here are poor reviews from people who apparently do not even know where they have been.
Kunst Haus Wien has nothing to do with the Hundertwasserhaus and the Touri HotSpot.

Fantastic - This was one of the highlights of my trip to Vienna. I don't understand ppl who don't like this center. Hunterwasser was brilliant, completely ahead of his time. Pioneer of the environmental art movement. He cared about how the art was made and printed just as much as the art itself. He had a holistic vision of art and social justice. His opinions and attitudes also reflect so much of the anthroposophic, Steiner lifestyle. No idea if this was intended or not. His architecture was crap though, ugly and 90s. Overstimulating. Should have kept to the painting.

Unique building, wonderful collection and very good temporary exhibitions - It is a building designed in the unmistakable style of the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and houses a large collection of paintings by the same painter. The building itself is already worth seeing: irregular floor, spiral staircase, colored tiles, trees in the building... And Hundertwasser’s work is worth seeing, especially in a city with as much art of so many different kinds as Vienna. On the top floor there are usually temporary exhibitions by different artists. Something highly recommended in this museum is its bar / cafe: well priced, very friendly people and good food. I especially recommend your Kaiserschmarrn (the typical dessert of Vienna). It was the best I had in my days in town.

Hundertwasser was an original genius! - The building is really Hundertwasser. The lady at the entrance was very patient and helpful. The collection is large, what a lot Hundertwasser made during his life. There was a calm atmosphere.

More interesting than I expected - The facade of the building is already worth a visit. It houses a museum mainly dedicated to the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The building itself is a work of art, for example, you would not let the visit pass without going to your toilets. The collection of paintings by the interesting artist. There are also temporary exhibitions by other modern artists. It is a visit that does not leave indifferent.

Great except the service at the museum café - We really like the museum, the exhibitions! Very alternative, different and with many colors :) we chose to purchase the Vienna pass (which in our opinion is well worth it) so this museum was included!
We did not get a good impression of the service at the museum café: very unfriendly service (supposedly because we ordered only a few pancakes)

Interesting and worth a visit - Very interesting, such a character and visionary. Interesting and challenging art and house. The third floor temporary exhibition was really poor, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I didn't like the art - I ended up here by mistake. My mum confused this artist with another one she wanted to see. I found the art a bit strange and not that interesting. I liked the painted columns and the exterior of the house. I'm from New Zealand, and this artist came here, so reading about that was interesting.
