Overlooking the town of Melk, this impressive baroque-style Abbey houses the renowned library and serves as the final resting place of Saint Coloman, the patron saint of Austria. During your visit, you can also explore the Abbey church and the garden pavilion. After approximately a 1-hour visit to Melk, continue your journey through the Austrian countryside, lakes, and mountains to your next destination, the charming town of Hallstatt.
- Hallstatt - Nestled between the mountains and the lake, Hallstatt is renowned as one of the most photographed villages in Europe. During an approximately 1.5-hour visit to Hallstatt, you can visit the Skywalk 360m platform with breathtaking views, stroll along the Promenade into the colorful town center with numerous small shops. To make your visit to Hallstatt more memorable, enjoy local delicacies and take a walk by Hallstatt Lake.
- Lake Wolfgang - The road from Hallstatt to Salzburg offers spectacular panoramic views of the lakes within the Salzkammergut region. A photo break opportunity will be provided at Lake Wolfgang in the town of Sankt Gilgen. Feel free to ask the driver for any other short stops along this route to capture the picturesque scenery of Austrian lakes.
- Salzburg - The tour continues with a visit to Salzburg. Upon arrival, independently explore the UNESCO-protected Old Town, Mirabell Palace Gardens, used as a filming location for the popular “Sound of Music” movie and the do-re-mi song, or enjoy a spectacular view of the city from the Hohensalzburg fortress. Surrounded by mountains, Salzburg is well known as the birthplace of Mozart, and you can try Mozart chocolate, only available in Salzburg. After concluding the day in Salzburg around 17:30 - 18:00, the tour returns to your accommodation in Vienna, where your day tour began with us.

This trip will be among one of my best memories!! - I took this private tour with my family of four and all I can say is that this trip will be among on of my best memories! Our tour guide Darko was absolutely amazing. He was fun, informative, accomodating and flexible as per our choices and always knew the best places to show us during the tour. For anyone looking to explore Melk, Halstatt and Salzburg in a day and know the best spots, I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide Darko.

Great tour - Melk, Hallstatt and Salzburg were interesting and picturesque locations. Our driver, Pedja, was informative, easygoing and flexible. We had a wonderful day and would love to do another tour with LTDE next time we're in Vienna.

Fantastic Experience!! - Fantastic!! Salzburg, Melk, Halstatt were all wonderful places to see and we’re so glad we were able to visit all three. The driver was amazing - extremely knowledgeable and fun!! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone in Vienna who wants to see more of Austria.

Great Day trip With Darko - We were a group of entrepreneur on our Forum retreat in Vienna and we hired Darko for a day trip to Salzburg, Hallstatt and Melk. Darko was excellent! very professional and knowledgeable. He was also very flexible and understood very quickly what we wanted and adjusted to our needs. He spoke English fluently and was very cordial with us. I reccomend him and his company for a day trip any day.

A great way to see a lot of Austria - We had a great time on our day trip to Melk/Salzburg/Hallstatt. Darko was a great driver and he helped us plan our day to see as much as possible in each location. Darko was accommodating. He stopped if we needed, had plenty of water for the group (lots of walking), and had some fun stories about each location. Thanks for a memorable day!

Absolutely Amazing Trip!! - We had an amazing time on our tour and I definitely recommend this private tour over a big bus tour. You'll never have to wait for "that guy" who always comes back to the bus late. And Pedja was the best driver to have. You should request him if you choose this tour.

Amazing!!! - We did the private day tour with Romano. The tour was amazing. Romano was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us recommendations for lunch as well as the "must see". It is exactly as described. Definitely would recommend

Great day in Austria! - Pedja is the best! We had a great time in our visit. The trip is well organized. Early quick visit to Melk before the crowds. Wished we could have spent more time in Salzburg and Hallstatt but the time is reasonable for a one day trip. Our driver, Pedja was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Makes you feel like family. I really reccomend this excursion.

Worth too much - It's too much worth it!!! We made a slightly different script. We started with a winery in Melk and then followed to Hallstat. Our driver Pedja is an amazing person and made our trip even better.
