I wish I could give this 10 stars. - I wish I could give this 10 stars. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable with history and the palace making the tour interesting for history buffs as well as people interested in interiors. She gave us the information with personable stories of the family that kept our attention. The palace is nice; not overly impressive. But our guide made this the best tour of our trip.

Great value with sharing her knowledge of the Habsbergs - Lena was MOST comprehensive and MOST entertaining with sharing her knowledge of the previous Schonbrunn occupants. The 2 hours flew by and she showed a phenomenal depth of knowledge at certainly a masters if not doctorate level.. without it being stuffy!!

Great tour once the group center is located. - The group meeting point was sadly not as obvious with signage as i was expecting and we were not the only folks that had trouble in our group finding it. That being said it was fine after we reread the instructions and looked a bit harder. It may just be that the USA kind of goes overboard with signage and we're used to that. As for the tour, Lena was fabulous and gave plenty of detail which I love. I love that she includes some of the less flattering parts of Austrian history as well. Absolutely would recommend for anyone visiting Vienna. Also we were happy to use the free lockers downstairs at the group center since we were only in Vienna for the day and it kept us from having to carry our stuff for the tour which I am told is not allowed.

Interesting castle - We had a private tour. Even on a week day, off season, it was packed. Subway from town works great.

Worst experience in Vienna - Do not waste your money. We couldn’t even take the tour because it’s impossible to find the tour guide. They tell you to meet directly across the street from the entrance to the palace at the Group Center. Well there is no Group Center across the street from the entrance. There’s a Group Center several hundred meters across two streets and to the left of the entrance. But by the time you can find it your group will have left and the customer service is an absolute joke. They said to contact them via WhatsApp - I tried that and just got an auto-generated reply that they would get back to me soon. After searching for 20 minutes we finally located the Group Center by sheer luck but the people inside were unbelievably rude and said there was nothing they could do. What an absolute waste of money.
