Look up! - Loved this experience. Our guide was right. In addition to being very knowledgeable about the bioluminescence, he taught us about the stars as well!

Great time - Our guide was very knowledgeable about the dinoflagellates that cause the bioluminescence, the ecosystem in the area and the constellations. Best advice though. Go on a new moon and pray it doesn't rain for the day or two leading up to your trip. However, when I came here we were at a half moon, a clear night, and it was very bright. Our tour guide brought a tarp to help see the lake better, but really it wasn't very necessary because the water was plenty bright enough.

Great BioBay tour - This is a place that you MUST go to. What a cool experience. Juan Carlos was extremely skilled at directing the group and had excellent information to share on the biobay and the stars. The vehicle ride is short but the van is definitely not fancy. You will get muddy from the knees down but the mud was easily washed off with a hose post tour at the meeting spot.

Cannot recommend enough - This was so much fun! The guide was very knowledgeable and kind, making for a great, one-of-a-kind experience. If possible, go on a night closer to a new moon or very cloudy, but they have a tarp you can get under for a bit to see more!

Our guide had so much... - Our guide had so much fascinating information about the bioluminescence and the constellations. It was really cool to kayak at night and the bioluminescence was mesmerizing. Highly recommend! Try booking on a new moon!

The time in the Biobay on... - The time in the Biobay on the kayaks was amazing, and our guide was very knowledgeable and effective at managing the group. His explanations about the bioluminescence and also the constellations were excellent . The experience was a bit diminished by some friction and confusion in the whole process before and after getting into the water. The road to the bay is in super rough shape and they did as well as possible dealing with that, but there was mild chaos of getting everyone checked in and into the van, and then again when got to the parking area. It didn't inspire a lot of confidence before we got into the water, but the guide assuaged my doubts once we actually got started. Unfortunately, getting back into the van for the return trip was again a little bit chaotic. The tour itself was really good, but hopefully they can work on having a little more organization to the check-in and getting people loaded to avoid those aspects that detracted from a really amazing experience on the bay.

OK. Not great. - The bioluminescence .was great to see. The process was less than optimal. Too many people, too much mud. It felt like an exercise in how many people they could get in and out.

Disappointing - Well, no fault or critique against the tour companies - they provide excellent customer service, but the whole experience is rather underwelming and not worth the effort and cost. The pictures shown on the websites doesn't reflect the reality. Been to much better spots, for example in Tobago.
