• Vík Horse Adventure - The stable serves as both the starting and finishing point for the horseback excursions. The journey takes riders along the stunning black sand beaches of Vík í Mýrdal, known as Víkurfjara.

Participants must be at least 10 years old, with a maximum weight limit of 100kg/220lb. Regrettably, pregnant individuals are not permitted to ride. The right is reserved to request riders to verify their weight on a scale.

The Black Beach Riding Tour offers a relaxed one-hour ride, ideal for beginners and those who ride infrequently, though riders of all skill levels are welcome. Our horses are gentle and sure-footed, making them perfect for exploring the rugged Icelandic landscape. During the summer, you might catch a glimpse of puffins soaring above, while in winter, the dynamic weather accentuates the area’s natural beauty.

Tours are primarily conducted at a walking pace, but those who are able can try the tölt, a unique gait of the Icelandic horse.
