One of the best things we did. - Via Trip Advisor we booked through Cockburn's website - which seemed a bit confusing. They sent a confirmation email, but took no payment. When we got there it was straightforward. We paid for the basic tour, and you could buy snacks in the tasting room at the end. We had an English speaking guide. He was very knowledgeable. Occasionally hard to hear - he spoke a little fast and some of the areas (and fellow guests) were a bit noisy - but he answered all our questions and gave us plenty of time. Fascinating to see so many barrels, and the barrels being made. We came away feeling we knew a lot about how port is made and what the different types are. And we loved the port.

Interesting - Very interesting and well conducted visit.
Only downside I didn't really see the coopers working.

Great tour, enjoyed the main room. - Excellent tour with knowledgeable and personal guide. Amazing how many barrels they store. Great tasting if 3 ports at the end. Maybe worth organizing a port cocktails tour, as nit aware of how to drink port other than solo.

Chocolates and port - you can’t go wrong! - Short but worthwhile tour and tasting of port wines. The guide was informative and I learned a lot about ports that I did not know. We did the chocolate and premium port tasting and the chocolates were delicious and so was the port. Fun experience! Would recommend.

Very nice afternoon - Very nice and informative tour and tasting. Our guide was very good and the port tasting was excellent with additional choices. Filipe was great. Luckily we can buy their port back home!

JUST GO! - This was my second tour at Cockburn's Port Lodge. My husband and I had such an enjoyable experience in 2022, I wanted to share it with my mom on this trip. Sergio was our guide. He was fantastic. The tour is detailed and not rushed; takes about an hour. Great vibe. The group size was very manageable.
We did the classic tasting at the end. The fee is reasonable. They give you options to choose others, as well as snacks. I love Cockburn's and their commitment to tread lightly on the environment. And, the port is excellent!

Excellent - Really worth while and informative, the only disappointment was that the English speaking tour was at 12 midday and the coopers were at lunch, so we didn't get to see them at work.
I would recommend getting an uber there, ours was 7€ from central Porto.

Mediocre - Mediocre compared to others that we have been to. Some staff are friendly and some are really not. We arrived earlier and could not join the earlier group, were told its full (12 people),also earlier tasting was not possible. The group at our selected time was much larger - 20 people, so unclear why the hostess declined to accept us earlier. The guide was polite, informative, but ar times boring. Enjoyed Graham’s much better (even though it is owned by the same family).
