This tasting was created for Tawny Lovers since our purpose is show the evolution of our Tawnies and the mastery of the winemakers doing the different blends. With over a century of history, Poças is now managed by the fourth generation, standing as one of the few Port Wine companies that originated in Portugal and has remained family-owned since its inception. While our aged Port Tawny wines have established Poças’ reputation, the DOC Douro wines have also demonstrated their excellence for the past 30 years.

In 2019, Poças was honored with the “Fortified Wine Producer of the Year 2018” award by Vinhos Magazine.

The Poças Visitor Center, open to the public since 2016, underwent a complete renovation in 2018, showcasing an innovative design by architects Lúcia Vaz Pato and António Mota. Attracting around 28,000 visitors annually, the Visitor Center received the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor in 2018.
