- Douro Marina - Opened to the public in February 2012, Douro Marina represents an investment of 8.5 million euros, with 2.5 million allocated to floating equipment. The marina can accommodate 300 vessels up to 20 meters long and features facilities for boat repair and maintenance, shops, restaurants, and water sports companies.
- Centro Interpretativo do Patrimonio da Afurada - Located near the Douro River’s mouth, Afurada is home to 6,500 residents, with fishing being the primary economic activity of its early inhabitants.
- Ponte da Arrabida - The Arrábida Bridge, an arch bridge over the Douro River, connects Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia. Built in 1963, it once held the record for the largest reinforced concrete arch in the world. It was the second bridge constructed for road traffic between Porto and V. N. Gaia, among six bridges in Porto. Inaugurated on June 22, 1963, during Nuno Pinheiro Torres’ mandate, it featured four lifts for pedestrian access, which ceased operation in the mid-1990s.
- Museu do Carro Electrico - Established in 1992, the Tram Museum showcases a significant collection of electric cars and vehicles of historical value, offering insights into Porto’s rail transport history. Housed in the former Massarelos Thermoelectric Plant, built in 1915, the museum preserves the early 20th-century tram design, with wood and iron interiors and reversible seat backs. Visitors can enjoy Line 1’s scenic route.
- Igreja da Confraria das Almas do Corpo Santo de Massarelos - Built in 1776, the church features a central gate with a broken pediment, a niche with the patron saint S. Pedro Gonçalves Telmo, and Corinthian-topped columns. The facade is adorned with tiles, and the bell towers are topped with ornaments and an iron cross.
- Alfandega Porto Congress Centre - Designed by French architect Jean Colson in the late 19th century, the New Customs building reflects Oporto’s mercantile dynamism. It contrasts with the 15th-century Ribeira architecture, using iron, stone, bricks, and wood. The Congress Centre is one of the largest and most awarded in the country.
- Passeio das Virtudes - The Virtudes Municipal Park, once the “Companhia Hortícola Portuense,” was designed by José Marques Loureiro and acquired by Porto City Hall in 1965. Renovated in 1998, the vertical garden offers unique views of the Alfândega, Douro River, and Vila Nova de Gaia.
- Torre dos Clerigos - Designed by Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, the Clérigos Tower, completed in 1763, stands over 75 meters tall. Initially a bell tower, it served as a navigation and military point. Visitors can climb 225 steps for panoramic views of Porto and Gaia.
- Cais De Gaia - The Vila Nova de Gaia waterfront, a historic shipyard and trading post, is renowned for Port Wine. The quay, refurbished in 2003, won the ‘Tourism Award - Enhancement of Public Space.’ It hosts guided tours of over 30 wine cellars, explaining wine production and offering tastings.
- Barcos rabelos - Rabelo boats, native to the Douro River, transported Port Wine before roads and railways existed. Skilled sailors navigated the treacherous river to deliver wine safely. The last wine transport voyage occurred in 1964 after the railway’s completion.
- Ribeira - Ribeira, part of Porto’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a historic and bustling area. Known for commerce and the heroic Ribeira’s Duque, who saved many from drowning, it features a memorial stone and a square named in his honor.
- Paco Episcopal - The Paço Episcopal of Porto, the former bishops’ residence, is adjacent to the Cathedral of Porto and dominates the historical center’s landscape. It has been a National Monument since 1910.
- Ponte de Dom Luis I - The Luís I bridge, a key connection between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, spans 395 meters and features two decks. Designed by Théophile Seyrig, it was completed in 1888 and remains a city landmark.
- Serra do Pilar Viewpoint - The Serra do Pilar Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, features a circular church and cloister. Its strategic location was vital during historical military events. Now a fortress and artillery barracks, it offers stunning views.
- Jardins do Palacio de Cristal - Inaugurated in 1865, the original Crystal Palace was replaced by the Super Bock Arena in 1951. The gardens, designed by Emil David, retain their original layout and feature the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library and other attractions.
- Reserva Natural Estuario do Douro - The Douro Estuary Local Nature Reserve, covering 66.35 hectares, is near Afurada and protects diverse bird species along the “East Atlantic Route.” Visitors can explore via a suspended walkway.
- Jardim do Passeio Alegre - Designed by Émile David, the Passeio Alegre Garden is a Public Interest Property rich in flora. Visitors can enjoy the shade, admire the Douro River meeting the Atlantic Ocean, and explore historical features like the “turtle fountain” and bandstand.
