- Vilnius Old Town - The tour will commence with a drive through sections of Vilnius’ old town, where the guide will share the city’s rich history, highlighting its founding and its significance to Lithuania’s national journey, particularly focusing on religious influences and European connections.
- Trakai - The tour will include a stop in Trakai town, allowing guests free time to explore the charming town and its lakeside. Visitors may choose to try the renowned kibinai or visit the island castle for an additional fee of 10€.
- Hill of Angels - The tour will visit the Hill of Angels, featuring over 40 wooden angels and crosses, originally crafted in 2009 to mark two significant anniversaries: Lithuania’s 1000th anniversary and the 600th anniversary of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Basilica in Trakai. Guests will enjoy breathtaking views of Galvė Lake, Trakai Castle, the Basilica, and the surrounding lakes, which intriguingly form the shape of a large angel from above.

Jim’s tour to Trakai & Hill of Angels is a thoughtfully designed bus tour by Jim, a passionate hobby historian and adventurer.
This journey offers a rich exploration of Lithuania’s geology, culture, and music, delving into the history of the Teutonic Knights, the union with Poland, basketball, the Soviet era, and much more! Participants will gain insights into the pivotal events and eras that have shaped the modern identity of Lithuania, a cherished nation that Jim now calls home with his wife and son.
In Trakai, guests will have 2.5 to 3 hours to enjoy an optional restaurant visit with Jim to taste traditional Lithuanian dishes, as well as free time for water activities, exploring the castle (entry fee 10€), and shopping.
On the way back, there will be a brief stop at the Hill of Angels, established in 2009 to foster devotion and spirituality and to commemorate Lithuania’s 1000-year anniversary.
