Beautiful day on the water - George and his son took us out and showed us a nice time. He loves the land and water and you can tell it’s his life, it’s a great way to experience the area and hear his stories.

An enlightening day of Fun! - From the moment we stepped into the family local bar to our exit, it was enlightening! Local people shared stories of the area in local dialect, everyone was friendly , it’s the south. The tour was informative, comical, enlightening and absolutely fun! We got to visit the guides actual “camp”. Something only local New Orleans folk know about. We learned about crabbing and controversial issues with that and just living in the swamp. Our captain was entertaining and also safety conscious. So much history of where the levee failed in Katrina and how to know when is the best time to eat oysters. Geaux. Just go. It’s worth every minute and every penny. Thanks y’all!

Good food, good people, good stories - Great experience with Samantha and George! George entertained us the whole time with stories and even let us see the inside of his camp. He was very dedicated to making sure we got to see a gator. We started about half an hour late because two of our party were running behind coming from the ER and we still got a full two hour tour. The cocktails were delicious and Samantha’s gumbo is the best we’ve had in Louisiana (and we order it EVERYWHERE)

Amazing moving experience that exceeded all expectations. Treated us like family! - There aren't enough words to describe how amazing and enjoyable our bayou tour was, and how lovely the owners and staff are. We will 100% do it again. I am here from Boston visiting a local friend and we also had another friend who flew in from LA. Our local friend has done other bayou tours but she said this is the best one that she had done. The whole experience from start to finish exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and they gave us food menus to bring food on the boat. We ordered food and drinks and then got on the boat. Captain George was scenery kind, knowledgeable, and had decades of local lore and personal stories. As someone who is not local, I was deeply moved by his personal stories regarding Hurricane Katrina and other historical events in the area over the years. He knows the waters and even the gators like the back of his hand. He had stories for days! I personally love to support small and family owned businesses and they genuinely treated us like family there. It is a MUST DO activity while you are in the area! Thank you again for having us. I'm not sure how to upload photos and videos but I will as soon as I can. Also I know I don't have many reviews on here, I was just so moved by the experience that I had to leave a review. My Instagram is @kfromnh if that helps legitimize my review since I have so few reviews.

A most enjoyable and genuine bayou experience! - So much fun! Captain George is a lively guide with plenty of interesting stories about life on the bayou. We learned so much and have so much better an understanding of how people interact with the bayou environment (and each other!). Our cruise had a break with a bathroom out at his bayou camp that was most welcome. Wait till you see Captain George kiss the gator! Afterwards, we had a most pleasant and delicious lunch at their DePope tavern. As Marylanders we tip our hat in total respect to their Louisiana crab cake, different from back home but nonetheless a delicious crab cake! They understand as we do that nothing should stand between you and enjoying the crab. Well done and thank you Samantha and thank you Captain George!
