The most relaxing trip EVER - We took the 3hr trip to Kom monastery. It was the most peaceful trip I've ever been on, it was heavenly. Our guide pointed out various things on route, had warm donuts for us as we boarded (hubby loved that!) and looked after us well. We had plenty of time to swim in the lake on the return leg, the lake was surprisingly very warm. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend

Excellent and Very Well Organised - Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We had a great guide, can't remember his name but we went on the 3 hour to Kom Monastery 10am-1 pm on Wednesday 2nd July. His English was perfect and he was so informative and interesting along the way. There was plenty of drinks to help yourself to, alcohol and non-alcoholic, plus he brought along some local small doughnut type cakes which were still warm. We stopped at Kom monastery, which after climbing the steps, you have a lovely view although the monastery is tiny. On the way back he stopped so that those who wanted to have a swim could do so. We really enjoyed it and would do it again, it was so peaceful and tranquil. Very well organised from booking many months before from home, no pre-payment needed, then the day before they e-mailed and sent a text with very clear instructions on how to find them and where to park if driving. You then pay on the day.

Fascinating nature made accessible - Lake Shkadar is amazing and we got plenty of time to admire the bird life and the water lilies. The guide was very knowledgeable. In retrospect, the visit to the monastery was not very memorable, so if it is not of particular interest it can be safely skipped and you can save 10€ per person.

Montenegrin Lake Skadar: a wonder - Excellent experience in the heart of the marshes and Lake Skadar, you can contemplate a complete and unspoilt environment: mountains, plants, birds in harmony and a revitalizing calm. The guide was very interesting!

Best boat tour on Skadar lake! - It was an amazing experience, with an awesome guide and easy communication with the staff before the tour! The views, water lilies and nature is breathtaking. And definitely the lake is amazing, but the hospitality of the Kingfisher crew is on the next level!

Beautiful trip - A lovely trip out on Skadar Lake, through the lilly pads and upto Kom Monastery. It was absolutely beautiful, lots of birds flying around and making our way past different islands within the lake. It was a shared tour but there was still plenty of room on the boat. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable too. The tour starts in Virpazar, which is easy to get to by bus or on the train from Bar, Sutomore or Podgorica (amongst others!).

Lake Skadar boat trip - A beautiful lake with hundreds of birds including pelicans. The monastery was interesting albeit a bit of a climb in the hot weather. The guide was informative and drinks and snacks were provided. We did have some engine trouble hence the four rather than a five but it didn’t really detract too much from the trip.

Nice boat trip with UNINCLUDED monastery in difficult parking situation - That was a great boat trip through water lilies, you saw and heard many different birds. However, we had thought that with "guided boat tour to Kom Monastery", the monastery was included. We had booked the ride before, but each had to pay 5 euros on site, supposedly for the monastery. Later, we read in more detailed descriptions (which was not in the offer description) that 5 euros for the national park visit were not included. We got a mail that we were supposed to be there half an hour before. However, this was not enough: there was nowhere free parking, but you were still waved into the large parking lot BEFORE/on the other side of the town entrance, although there was no more space there... In the end, the boat tour salesman said I should just leave the car (rental car) in the middle of the way, he would drive that away if we left the key there. That's how we did it - and afterwards found the car about 1-2 km away. The ride itself was very nice. We took an infinite number of photos. The monastery itself consisted only of a 1 room chapel into which one could look, but climbed many steps. From above a great view of the incredibly beautiful landscape.

Mixed between beautiful landscapes and lack of explanations - We had to do the 3 hour ride and as the weather was bad, we finally did the 2 hour ride in a big boat. We were quite disappointed to have had very little explanation from the guides and more specifically about the fauna and flora. We asked questions but we didn’t feel willing to come and tell us more or really answer our questions. The Girl Guide who was present was however very well and gave us some very clear introductions, she was attentive to us and explained to us very well some things about the history of the lake. The landscapes are also very pretty. It is therefore a rather mixed return.
